Looking for a laptop..

What's the best and most reliable laptop now? Dell, Toshiba, Sony or Acer?

Is a Dell laptop reliable? I know they have pretty good prices..

I have 2 HP's and they are great. The only thing that I will mention is dont get any with the P4. They eat the battery very fast.

Thinkpad. Have had the same one for years, took it around the world, endured a rough commute to/from work for years. Rock solid. Everything else is a toy.

Just bought a Sony K15 about 2 weeks ago for use when I travel. Couldn't be happier with it.

i've got dell and thinkpads and the thinkpads are my personal favourite. The only thing i don't like about IBM is the fact they
don't offer all of the same models in Canada as they do in the US. For example, I'd like to obtain an R50, however IBM Canada only carries the R50p and not the regular R50 and IBM US won't ship to Canada.

Get centrino from asus. Take a look at their M6000 model http://usa.asus.com/products/noteboo...n_overview.htm it has really cool radeon 9600pro video card, widescreen 15.4" display and you can get one for 2000$CDN.
If you want something small take a look at m5 and s5 models.
