People knows they need to cancel... like I said before... some dont cancel because they want to.. others because they FORGOT about it the next day...!!!!!!!

Program owners can cancel any webmaster if they want.. but need to have better reasons for not paying someone..

It's simple. Any reference to cancel, cancelation process will increase the cancelation rate, thus it will minimize the outcome of the sale. It's possible for sponsors with competitive payouts to make the joins unprofitable.

But like I said.. cancelling someone's account for that is fair.. but you undertand that when you decide NOT TO PAY an affiliate.. (if thats the case here) you need to prove that the affiliate did something illegal... and unless that was mentionned in the "agreement" form.. its not illegal...

I'm shaking my head here after reading this whole thread.. in essence what you're saying is that the only way to make money off trials is to depend on the ignorance of the surfers? I don't see one thing wrong with what this guy did. He was giving the surfer all the facts.. any worthwhile program should be able to stand up to this and make money from it.. if not.. why the hell are they offering it? I don't want to promote any program that a surfer wouldn't want to be a part of after seeing the inside.

He doesnt actually tell them to cancel, he tells them it's hassle free (although he emphasizes that ALOT)... Unless there's something in your terms against that I don't think you can consider it cheating.

Ahh, the old "they did it too" excuse. I can understand how program owners would get sensitive about something like this, especially if the emphasis is placed on the cancel bit. I do think that site goes a little too far, but not enough to warrant termination/non-payment without any warning. If you dont want surfers to know or realize they can cancel these trials, that smacks of days past when surfers were regularly fucked over. Can you say VISA boys and girls? And is it any wonder that so many surfers are wary and suspicious these days?
Granted its tough to make money on trials with all the free loaders that get attracted, but intentionally hiding cancel info just isnt right. If you cant convert em pimpdogg, then drop your trial programs, not your affiliates.

I don't see a thing about being honest about cancelations being against the terms of service. If that's the case, why don't you just come right out and say.. if you tell the surfer that they can cancel or show them it's easy I won't pay you.
