my hosting is cyberwurx.com, do I need contact em to edit .htaccess?

its in the folder you are protecting.. you do not need to contact the host.

Usually in FTP you can't see your .htaccess file but it's usually there. There's a way around this but I can't remember what it is if I find out I'll get back to you.

you shouldn't need to ask them for editing it, but if you are unsure about doing that, i'm sure they can assist you. actually it can be dangerous if you dont know what you're doing...pics not loading, etc etc... just a tip for you |
