Anyone know of a payment processor that'll
Let you sell a service for $1 and not rape you with fees? A friend of mine needs it, not really sure what he's selling, but it's not adult related and he charges $1 for it. He says that what hes using now charges a 45% fee. Also, he needs something automated, so PayPal isn't really an option. Thanks in advance.

moneybooker(s).com ?! i think they have a deal that's as low as 2% and no $0.XX minimum ...
as far as automating it and PayPal they do have the auto post back notification feature for purchases (as most billers do) which can be easily integrated |

If its not adult oriented try Card Services International. However I believe they still charge a 20 cent processing fee on top of the 2%-5%

Dollar transactions make money for no one in the banking system, thus the reason they are discouraged. The issuing bank actually loses anywhere from a quarter up every time a cardholder does a dollar trans.
A third party processor charging you 15% would get 15 cents from you, pay at least 2.5% PLUS a per trans fee of a quarter or more and would lose a minimum of a dime on every transaction. |
