				Are Liberals Ashamed?

Watching a few minutes of CBS news... I noticed when ask, Kerry can't just admit, Yes, I am a liberal. Several "liberal" Democrates were ask and none of them would answer the question, yes, instead wanting to "define" want it means. It was like they were ashamed to be called a liberal, yet they want to take the country in that direction.

Yet I've also noticed when a Conservative is asked, he will proudly declare he is a Conservative. I wonder what the difference is? Decades ago, someone said (I don't remember who or the eact quote) that a young man who was a conservative had no heart. But an old man who was liberal had no brains..... Something like that......

If you admit to being a liberal in the US today, you're branded a traitor. It's that simple.

Bush has made the word liberal synonymous with weak and terrorist.

But I know what you are saying - no one believes what the Democrates are doing with this 9/11 investigation is for the good of the country - they are going it to try to win back the office they think was stolen from them. Maybe that's why Kerry has been dropping in the polls since it started - people aren't as stupid as they think we are. People don't like national defence mixed in with politics, they expect both sides to be above that, I believe. ![]()

Liberated 25 million people - took down a couple of the baddest bad guys in the world. We have a growing ecomony dispite the war and all the doom and gloom you see on TV the stock market is doing very well and more people own their own homes than ever before with the lowest interest rates in 40 years.... Now can you list a bunch of things that are still problems? - Sure you can - but to say he's done "nothing" - wise up your politics are showing.

Ha... it didn't start out a Bash Bush thread... but you know that is what they will resort to. Wonder if any of them will attempt to define Liberalism and defend it... or if the Bush bashing is all we'll get as usual.
