Brightservers fucked me over... don't host with them!

I just paid for 3 months in advance and they pull some bullshit where I'm told to switch my DNS info with my domain because they're switching over to another server. So as soon as I do that, the bullshit starts. Everything that was on my site up until the switch stayed there, but none of the updates I did on my ftp would work. Then today I go to check my email and discover not only does it not work, but neither does my site or my control panel for my hosting... I've been trying to contact them for weeks over the lack of updates, but their "customer service" people aren't responding. Just warning all of you not to host with them. I found them because they spammed me on this board, so hopefully I can warn future suckers...

In the meantime, anyone know how long it takes webair to activate??

I'm done ranting... I think I need a hug...

Which server did these kids move you to to cut the costs, managed.com or servermatrix?

Hosting providers are a funky bunch....some do it as a add-on to their business ventures and others really just are into hosting full time.

Check out realitychecknetwork, These guys have solved a million problems that Ive run into with my hosting and never do I worry about my servers performance......

As far as ServerMatrix goes I've never had a prob with them and if I want something changed or added Support answers by the 3rd ring..
They've never been down since I've been with them and they're 1000 gig a month deals are hard to beat..

I think that AndrewX is suggesting in a roundabout way that brightservers is really just a couple of leased servermatrix/managed.com servers.

Interesting: bright servers used to be really decent, we hosted through them for a promotional project...they were always top notch and had everything running smoothly...but above all reflected.net and NATNET are by far the best
