Ok, last time I did this earlier today I got a 404 error, and it didn't post. Which sucked, but im gonna do this again.

I run my own small record label out of southern ontario. We have been putting on shows recently, and I have a great sense of what bands people like in what areas, and how to make a great profit.

We did a show in a small town called Palgrave, Ontario. It was a great show, and the venue which can hold about 150 hosted a great turnout of about 100 people, at $7 a pop. After paying the bands for playing, and the venue we went home with about $300 cash in profit for one night.

Let me break some little proposals down for everyone, to get a better feel for the bigger bucks that can be made.

In Oshawa, Ontario they have a venue which can hold around 450 people. a band named Protest The Hero sells it out every night they play. They cost around $600 - $1000 a night. Add around 7 other great bands at about $50 a pop, and you can charge $12 - $13 for the show. The venue costs $400 and includes sound, security and all that. This will leave you with about a $4000 profit for one nights show.

In Toronto there are 2 diffrent veneus (that im fimiliar with, there are obviously more) one is $1000 - 1500 which can hold about 600 people. With 2 great headliners at a 1200 budget, along side 4 or 5 openers for $10. Would bring a profit of just over $3000. The other venue in toronto costs about $800 and can have around 500 people in it, would bring back a profit of $2500.
These are all one night deals.

In Palgrave it can host about 150 people. With a big enough opener, and alot of great ska bands (palgrave and caledon east loves ska!) can bring back a profit of around $600 for one night.

We can also do shows in Oakville, Caledon East, Brampton, Hamilton, Brantford and alot of other cities with great scenes!

This is a great money making opprutunity. It is sure to bring in the cash!

If you're up for it, there are also bigger venues in Toronto, and we can get bands on tour and stuff. I figured out one show, with 3 big bands on tour, and 3 openers. It'd bring home around $17,000.
