Scama-rama. Not the way the business works, my friend. Unfortunately it's people like you and your girlfriend that these scam artists pray on, and it happens all the time. If she's really interested in a successful acting career she should do the serious thing and find out how it really works.
Hopefully you're smarter than most people in a situation like this who ignore all of these warnings and think that they are for some reason special and follow the "can't happen to me!" rule.

Went on all kinds of shots, you get fed, you get 35 bucks, and you do the same thing the next day. This is Hollywood. Hell I even went down, theres a demand for guys with tattoos and punk rockers. You can land more jobs doing videos and shit, but the pay stinks. I went down and had them take my pic, but I never went to any auditions, they called about work though.

I have a close friend who was in a commercial for Credit Union.... he got 2k up front and 5k in residuals. But the commercial ran for 2 years.
