it does work, but mixing Apple airport cards and Linksys routers (WAP-11 i assume?) has proven a problematic combination for many Mac-users performance-wise, sometimes garnering very slow transfer speeds intermittantly. you defiintely don't need an Airport base-station though, pretty much any PC access point offering is going to be cheaper and just as good..

I have a linksys router right now...
You think it would be cool if I plugged in a d-link router into the linksys router?

Of course, as everyone said the answer is yes - I'm running a powerbook g4 with an extreme airport card - airport basestation at work and lynksys at home - the cool thing is I close my laptop at work, open it at home and all my connections are right there. It needs OS X to do this though.

as everyone says, it does work, but if you haven't already bolught one do yourself a favor and head over to a Mac forum (www.macnn.com) and do a search for Linksys... Netgear is considered a much better performer when coupled w/ Airport hardware and similar pricing to the Linksys offerings..
