People seem to forget that major world issues cant be solved by reason 100% of the time. Maybe in the far future..
Sadam did not need to be in power.. that is the botton line. He killed thousands of his own people. Maybe we should of waited until he associated with killing thousands of americans before we did anything. Some people think this is a perfect world and things will always be just.. Like some of the families who lost bread winners in the World Trade Centers.. However unless you do it in the right situations you end up with a great many problems. The key is defence not attack. Attacking any country will never make the world any safer or better. Ask any viet vet if they are happy they went. Just like in Vietnam you can't win "hearts and minds" with "shock and awe". Technology and great bombs don?t produce peace. Looks like the people trying to make the place better are dropping the ball a lot.... Still no power, believe there is some plan to swap power for oil but they talk about providing security first. Seems no one realises that power and lights are security at night. Hope the Iraqi's and American's let them stick around long enough to get the job finished.... Hope they do it right. Would be a shame if the US population put pressure on to get out now as the place would really fall apart fast. Good on your buddy for doing his job.....
