Best laptops out there?
Friend came in bragging about the new Fujitsu laptops. Says they're awesome.
I kind of like Toshiba above all. But since it's been a year since I've looked at laptops I wanted to ask what brands you guys like and especially the customer service. |

The new Fujitsu tablets are awesome. My best advice, however, would be to never never NEVER get a Vaio.

I like IBMs best of all, though they tend to be a bit pricier than others. But i love the little mouse knob - it takes a little while to get accustomed to it, but once you become proficient it saves you a lot of time as you don't have to move your hand off of the typing position to use a mouse.

How's the monitor on the Fujitsu Lifebook? How powerful is it? Now, the reason I like Toshiba is they were the first two laptops I bought. I've got an old Toshiba 730XCDT that I bought in '97 and that laptop has been on almost constantly since then. Only problem was a copper connection to the adapter. It was too little and melted. We cut a penny and welded it and it's been workin' fine since. Back then my decision was based on customer support ratings. That's the first and last indicator for me. If the company's customer support rating is high then I buy. |

I'm a big dell inspiron fan.
Had a older model inspiron 8000 series.. now i have a Inspiron 5100. I likes. Dual boot with linux wasn't as painful as other laptops i've had before. I think it all depends on what you want it for. KBBQ |

Fujitsus are fantastic machines. I gave an old desktop to a friend who is new to computers and just wanted to download music, read email, etc. The machine must be 5 years old now, but it still runs like a charm. All the original hardware, except for the CD writer that I added.
I need a laptop for summer, and it will probably be a Fujitsu. Although those Acers look like good value for money also, and I haven't heard anything bad about them. |
