The Traffic Assistant or other IP blocks and redirects.
Anybody here have any experiece with these and what is the best product out there for blocking / redirecting ip addresses of certain countries from accessing your website?

I think any geo redirect program will do..I use www.ip-sorter.com myself. It's very fast and stable. But I know there are cheaper products on the market...

This isn't so tough to do without buying anything.
1, Use GeoIP (database costs $) - proxies can screw it up though 2, Use language preference of IExplorer - but some people use US-EN no matter what. If you're looking for down-to-the-US-state filtering, #1 is the way to go. If you're looking for general language/country redirection: <?php $lang=strtok($HTTP_ACCEPT_LANGUAGE,","); $lang=split("-",$lang); $lang[0]=$country; $lang[1]=$language; if ($languagehahahaha"en") { include "Englishsite.php"; } ?> etc. You can ICQ me 92621328 if you need some help here. -doug |
