Digital camera recommendations (under $700).

I am looking to get a digital camera and wanted to get your guy's opinions.

I don't need this for content. I just want to have a good camera.

Totally agree with that. After a long time reading reviews I
went for a DSC-F707 and it's absolutely awesome

Too vague a question to give a good answer.

Do you want a simple point and shoot, or something with alot of manual control ?

How important a factor is size?

Do you want a pocket cam you can take to the bar or carry in your pocket, or a weekender/family camera ?

What kind of pics do you want to take with it? Sports, casual ?
