I forgot how much I liked Nirvana....

Just playing the old albums and wishing Kurt was still alive and making tunes with Nirvana. Dooh...

I used to love Nirvana, but now I change the song whenever they come on. I just can't stand them anymore - I still love all the other Seattle bands tho, Pearl Jam, Soundgarden, Alice in Chains, Mudhoney, etc.

I feel the same way, although I'm not sure if I like the music more because there is no hope for more or would subsequent albums be even better?

I have In Utero or however you spell it in my car cd player right now (as well as TMBG, the new Offspring, and Mallrats soundtrack...heh). I've got all their cds...even the live albums...I give em a listen every once in a while...but they are played on the radio so much here still that I don't really need to.

I used to be really big into Nirvana. Then I sort of forgot about them. But, every so often I'll throw in an album and remember how much I used to like them, and still do.

It's odd though. In a way, it's sort of cliche to listen to Nirvana these days. Ironic in a way.

last year I went to a music fest where the foo fighters were playing. So, all these kids had Kurt t-shirts on (most of them the suicide note). It dawned on me that most of them were too young to remember him alive.

I must be to old or something but I never liked it..... he put an end to FUN-GOOD times music and all of a sudden EVERYONE was pissed.... because HE was pissed..... At NOTHING that EVERY teenager that ever walked the planet before and after him hasnt been pissed about... zits, drugs, mom,dad & chicks....

I love the foo fighters though...

But whats the big deal about a pissed off white boy that had it MADE and blew his brains out? Lots of kids parents get divorced and they DONT become multi million dollar superstars who cannot be satisfied with all the money and pussy in the nation.

FOOLS kill themselves NOT heros....

I cannot think of ANYONE I have less pity for than him.....

Now back to your strange hero worship thing....

Fun music never stopped to exist, it was just something that stopped selling i guess. Guess all the coke from the 80´s started to wore out and people was ready for some depression.

Nevermind me, i am hungover.

If Nirvana were around today, they'd still be kicking ass.

On a side note though, I fucking hate "Dave Grohls" band, the Foo Fighters.

I was in my teens when Kurt was alive and kickin' .. he was a huge role model .. and I mean a HUGE role model for me.

Grown-ups used to laugh all the time at that 'shit' on the radio and would tell me how Kurt and Nirvana would never in a million years be remembered and celebrated like their oh so precious Lenon and the Beatles..

Now who's laughing?

Such a waste of talent...really sad.

Cobain was so talented he even was able to make Courtenay Love sound good. If anyone who likes Nirvana hasnt listened to the Hole album "Live through this" you should take a listen. I'd be the last person to ever recommend any other work done by Hole but that one album that Cobain collaborated (read: wrote for) with Love is just kickass.
