Do you look at the working world different than...

You did before you got into porn? I know I did, I remember I would work my ass off all week for like $150 and be like, dammnn, I got money! Haha... Now its like, I look at all these people working in careers for the same or even less money than I make and I think to myself... damn, theyre missing out!

Well, I'm only 19 and I make more than most adults that I know. But I'm still in college.. If you were put in the position it might change your thinking ;)

It might... the only thing I would worry about is how technology changes very quickly. You may be doing very well now, but will it last forever ? Is it something you can depend on to make you money into retirement ? Will you end up getting health insurance, or investing for retirement ? The benefits and long term factors play into keeping me at my current job.

Off course ... Everybody's point of view change in couple years . I started lurking arround in 97-98 if I remember right so it's been a while . My point of view would already be changed anyways

Sometimes I'm envious of those drive through workers.

I'm a business marketing and management major. Even if technology changes that job will still be needed, maybe in different ways, but it will always have a demand. Plus its just good to know ;)

i think a big factor is the personality of the person themselves, many people would rather not have the responsibility and financial investment, not to mention the risk, associated with running your own business, i tihnk many people are content with putting in X hours and taking home Y dollars, garunteed. no hastle, no fuss, and knowing that at 5:00 you stop work and take the rest of the day to do what you want.

hmmm....

do I look at it differently? Not really. I've always given 110% in everything I've done. Going above and beyond the call helped me to excel in everything I ever did, so that part has always been with me. If anything, I've always had the right predisposition, but not always the right opportunity.

A wise man once told me, do what you love.... what you were meant to do..... and the money will eventually follow.

Another wise man once told me, no matter what you do in this world, even if it's mopping floors..... be the best fucking floor mopper there is and eventually it will be acknowledged and rewarded.

obviously no one wants to be a professional floor mopper..... but the basic concept is solid. And that's how I've always treated my work, regardless of what the actual duties were.

In a nutshell, be a fucking professional or don't do it at all. So in that regard, no... I don't look at it differently.

Has my professional (work) life evolved over the years? Certainly. Would I go back to day one if my very first boss that I worked for at $3.35 an hour came knocking tomorrow? Hell no. So in that regard, it's all boiled down to just another brutally obvious dumb question.

But I'm assuming you're looking at it all from a perspective of "this shit is gravy compared to slingin' hash at Burger King and woohoo! Yay for me!"..... and that's the wrong comfort zone to fall into.

Nothing good ever comes easy. Due diligence must be paid.
