Look at the last contest for $50. Some good entries by some great designers. Dynamix, PlatinumPimp , adultpixel, tootie, PlayGirl, snipah7 the list is pretty endless.

It shouldn't always be about the $. There are already some great entries posted.

I got like 6 logo design from people that started threads about logo contests... and they didn't like the logos in the threads ;)

There have also been a ton of contests where designs have been entered, a design chosen, a winner paid out and the design used.

Here's a drawing I did long back you could use, I can change the text to AngelMovies if you want to buy it for $50 (my usual price is $100). This logo has not been bought/used by anyone else.
