I didnt read the entire article, but another thing to add to any money it makes in the box office: It will probably be re-released in alot of theaters around Christmas/Easter and other religious holidays - and you know people will continue to flock to it in droves.

He put his own 30 mil on the table. It takes guts to do that, since not one " major" distributor wanted to release the film...

No Warner Bros ( they distributed most Mel Gibson starring movie), a small outfit took it ( same that distributes another great movie " Monster" " Newmarket dist.).

I am not religious, but I admire Mel Gibson's conviction.
