do you really care about higher payouts?

as per another thread a webmaster stated that lower payouts made him leery of signing up for a program just based on that fact alone.HOw many webmasters honestly are fluffed and foddered by 45 and 50 dollar payouts or are simply happy with the bottom line amount at the end of the check? Personally I think it would be stupid not to sign up for a program based on their payouts but would focus on which one simply sent me the most money per my traffic

Now you know higher payouts are to sway the sheep. There's a point in there somewhere where it's too low on per signup but $20 to $25 is not it if the site converts.

I believe in swaying webmasters but only to a certain extent.I would never raise payouts just becuase the next program is doing it,quite simply thats not how I do buisness. I am in the buisness if making people money and the best money I have seen is by keeping webmasters on a steady pace and by increased sales, not up and down sporatic sales IMHO. I guess what IM trying to say is I would rather see progression of sales rather than regression over time

nothing is wrong with higher payouts in any fashion. This question is mostly for those who leave links up on sites for days and even months with no sales hoping for ONE sale with the site with the biggest payout.

no matter what people say about 60% conversion to trial..blablabla...
Sales are only worth so much..so unless you are sending to a total scam program that charges the surfer for things they dont authorize and bilks them out of 200 bucks a pop then they close thier merchant account and leave the country...the more you are being payed per sale the more you are being scammed on your traffic...shaving incoming hits/sales..etc
I personally always go for revshare if the sites are good..

Higher PPS payouts and giant "prize bonus" programs make me nervous because I assume they are shaving to pay for that shit.

Most people say the higher the payout the more the shaving, etc. You are costing yourself money.

I can see several affiliate programs that could easily afford to pay you $40 a sale. Will they ever? No, because simply paying that much brings the shaving accusations.

trust is the most important thing in the industry..the surfer has to trust your site that they will get whats advertised and the webmaster has to trust they will get paid on time and not have their sales compromised

You have to admit, it does grab your attention.
A sponsor that claims $45/join will get my attention and might even get a test run at the least as opposed to a sponsor who claims $30/join. Everyone's traffic is different so conversion ratios will vary. Best indication is really a test run of traffic and I'm more willing to try out a $45/join sponsor versus a $30/join. Marketing at its best...

I care more about conversion ratio's. who cares if you're paying $45 per SU when your sites are converting 1:1200 The money is paying $30 per SU and converting at 1:150.

thanks for your honesty. With the recent discovery of a lot of sponsors admitting that without tons of exits and cross sales they wont be able to keep the high dollar payouts the same do you take this into consideration before promoting a new program?

Personally I do a lot of research on new sponsors before I blindly put traffic out there(i.e. checking SE traffic, marketability on other sites and of course by what spam you get in your mailbox)

In my shortass experience in this game, I havent found that many pps programs that work for me. Most of the money I make is off Revshare, then again, I promote alot of amatuers. Besides that, I like getting rebills for a program I havent pushed in a while.

I stick to revshare. I'll test a $45/join sponsor but whatever makes me the most bread at the end of the week gets my traffic in the end.

I sign up to a program only after I look over all their paysites and evaluate what I think the ratios and retention will be. It's all about ROI. Some big name companies have failed me with thier big payouts, but Join Right Now has no problem quadroupling my investment in a few days.

To keep it fair i only try to give a higher payout to those who can consistently send decent volume. Send more..make more..it is a win win situation

I think to optimize your earning potential as a webmaster though it is wise to send to both a mixture of PPS and Revshare programs. Don't keep your eggs in one basket......

If one program converts 1:100 and pays me $20 and the other 1:200 and pays me 35... which one would get my traffic? I wonder. ;)

That's what I was thinking. I don't think that these companies can afford paying out $60/sale and stay in business for every! Some can, but I think that most sponsers that ever pay per sale and are payin $60/sale is shaving at some point! Just my tho!

And the best retaining. Some programs have been sending me rebill checks for over a year.

Some companies like extreme paychecks however, have absolute garbage member areas, so don't expect to make alot with them.
