More movies that suck

horrible fucking movies:

About Schmidt: bizarre and slow
Lost In Translation: also bizarre and slow, and add boring to the list.
Daredevil: Something about seeing Ben Afleck in skin tight red leather is very disturbing.
Hulk: was on the fence for a long time with this one, but have now decided that it does indeed suck.
League of Extraordinary Gentlemen: absolutely fucking horrible. DO NOT RENT THIS MOVIE!
Freddy vs. Jason: serious cheese overdose. But for the record, I'm glad Jason kicked that stupid fuckers ass.
Underworld: *sigh*.... sorry, I'm still not buying into the vampire thing.

I thought Lost in Translation was a nice easy movie with good acting. What sort of movies do you like Amputate Your Head?

didn't see any of the movies you mentioned, except for Hulk and Lost...

Hulk sucked.

I enjoyed lost in translation though. Absolutely stunning cinematography. solid acting, though the script was weak at times. the film was more about location than anything else imo.

a nice movie with good acting?? That movie was so damned boring I nearly turned it off halfway through.... kept waiting for something to happen.... anything to happen..... and it never did. So it boils down to 2 hours of some lame schmuck's life that goes to Japan and is miserable.

woohoo! Not. Who the hell thought anyone would be interested in that?

anyway..... moving on. some GOOD movies:

SeaBiscuit
Intolerable Cruelty
Oceans Eleven
Pulp Fiction
Cabin Fever
Basic
American Pie
Van Wilder
U571
etc....

Lost in Translation was a good movie, the rest of the list all suck. The Hulk is one of the worst I have ever seen, but the worst movie is a certain movie one of our fellow GFYers wanted me to go to. The movie was: ONE MOTHERFUCKING HOUR MOTHERFUCKING PHOTO

Van Wilder is a funny movie, looks a bit strange in that list (wich I had to edit, because you made some typos)

it's just too cheesy. I don't mind lowbrow, but it's gotta be funny/witty lowbrow. Freddy flicks are just... well, bad.

yeah, I own it too..... I used to buy all my movies. Just this year started renting them first, because it seemed everything coming out was crap, and I got sick of burning $20 a pop on these movies that are complete junk.

in fact, I should really go through my collection and eliminate 75% of the shit in there. I think Blockbuster will take trades now.... give you like, half off on movie purchases if you trade in.

Except ROTK, Lost in Translation was one of the best films I've seen in ages. Pretty patchy script made up for by great direction and performances. Just perfect acting by Murray, especially in the second half of the film, he should have won oscar imho

Radio
Open Range
Hollow Man
Runaway Jury
etc....

I loved Lost In Translation as well, and the script was mostly improvised in the middle of the night, so It was pretty damned good for NO script.

One Hour Photo was the most disappointing movie ever. I really wanted to see Robin Williams play a sick demented killer. Barely one quick bloody scene in the whole movie.

I loved Lost in translation. Its very powerfull, but you must have an open mind to see it and not excepting a funny comedy from Bill Murray.

About Schmidt was also very good, but I wont see it again, its just TOO PAINFUL to watch.

Hulk SUCKED, the CGI are amazing, but the fucking plot and that crappy comic movie effect fucked up all the movie..

Freddy vs. Jason was a dissapointment, I was expecting to see gore and black humour and I only get cheesy effects, stupid plot, unfunny jokes and a end that sucked big time...

I dont mind to see the others movies because I know they sucks.

Something's Gotta Give also sucked BIG TIME...

He didn't play a killer, did he?

From your first list, I thought Lost in Translation is worth seeing but not worth the hoopla it got, also I love Underworld but I have a thing for vampire movies. I thought Oceans Eleven was pretty lame, especially considering the cast, but maybe you have to have a soft spot for the original to really enjoy it?

Anyone seen The Missing with Cate Blanchet and Tommy Lee Jones was a pretty good 'western' movie.

I liked About Schmidt...I was kinda surprised at how different it was.

by the pic on the dvd cover etc I was expecting some movie that would be really loopy when that's not it at all.

I was totally cracking up over those letters he would send to "matumbo."
