NetBilling Rocks!

Mitch, Karen and the entire crew are great peoples

(They don't do third party processing on your behalf, though... gotta have your own merchant account)

A word for the wise, netbilling may be a good gateway, but the companys they reffer you over to for a merchant account are crap.

netbilling reffered me over to payment resources international, there a fucking joke! PRI is run out some kids basement. I applied for a merchant account with them for a NON adult site, paid a shit load of fee's and a week later i was rejected by them. After i was promised a million times i would be approved.

A word to the wise do not apply for a merchant account with PRI.

A week later i applied with cardservice, got the merchant account and gateway setup and running in 24 hours.

If your looking for merchant account and gateway, you really should consider cardserviceinternational. They accept adult and non adult.

How they work? or how well they work?

They work by processing the card for you... like a virtual credit card machine. Plus, they scrub based on the settings that you prefer (high risk countries, exact address or zip, etc.). The money is batched every night and sent to your merchant bank, then deposited into your bank every week day.

How well do they work? Pretty damn good. We're happy with them.

We, too, were screwed with the PRI referal. They summarily turned our account off with no recourse. Not good.

But the Netbilling admin is pretty great - you can be as aggressive or conservative with the scrub as you wish.

With the third party processors, you pay 13-15%. CCBill eats chargebacks for you, most others don't. They also keep a rolling reserve for a period of 6 months. You get it back, but it can be 5-10% that is missing from your checks until 6 months rolls back around.

With our merchant account, we pay about 3-4% for processing (depending on which card they use), plus .45 per transaction for Netbilling's services.

How does that break down? Example:
3rd party:
25 signups a day x 30 days = 750 signups a month
750 x $24.95 = $18713
$18713 - 13.5% ($2526) = $16187
Total fees for month = $2526

Merchant account:
Same scenario = $18713
750 x .45 per transaction = $338
$18713 - 4% ($749) - $338 = $17626
Total fees for month = $1087

Now, keep in mind that you will have to pay a fee for ALL TRANSACTIONS through Netbilling, even the declines, so the 750 transactions would actually be higher, depending on how many declines you have. Also, your per transaction fee would be higher if you want Netbilling to handle your customer service for you.

Disclaimer: I posted this to the best of my memory. Netbilling, CCBill, or any other 3rd party provider, please correct me if any of this information is inaccurate.

Im glad im not the only one, I was gung ho about using netbilling
but after they referred me over to PRI, I gave my business to cardservice. Netbilling really should not refer people over to PRI, it's not good for there business. Why do they referred people to PRI? Most likely they got a nice % of each sucker sent over there.

When i aksed card service if they ever heard of PRI, they laughed at me.

Thanks for the words everyone. I will be happy to answer any questions about our processing and/or call center services. You can reach me Mondya at the office at: (661)252-2456 x1002 after 11am PST or ICQ me this weekend at: 117496436.

Number1Thumb,

Please let me know who you spoke with that you felt is "clueless". Our sales team is typically very knowledgable about most aspects of the business.

greentea & gsimm33,

Please let me know when you were dissed by PRI and what the circumstances were. We do not make any residuals or receive any payment from them and only typically refer dating sites to them as they have a good bank for that.

-------

As far as fees go, plan on saving at least 5-8% over other processors and increase conversions 10-50%. Hooper is using us and told me he has increased his sales 40% over his other processor.

Thank you, Mitch Farber

Mitch, is it true that NetBilling is no longer accepting merchant accounts that generate less than 100k a month in volume?

Just wanted to make sure if that was correct or not?

yep netbilling are a great company.. but the people they refer to can suck - not that it's their fault.. i wouldn't want to be held responsible for what a third party does.. I forget who we went with - an english account - but we had ours up for all of a week or two before the account went under.. woohoo.

For the record i have nothing against netbilling, like i said i was GUNG HO about using them and may consider them in the future.

Mitch,

I dealt with Tracy Repass from PRI, I was dissed by them some were around mid jan of this year. I filled out all there paperwork, paid all the fees and got the site online (blunts.com).

Tracey assured me numerous times that my site was okay, PRI reviewed my site and said that they have no problem with it, That everything was a go for the launch. A day later tracy calls and tells me that there bank reviewed the site and denied me. For what reason I do not know, my site is 100% legit and legal. What pissed me off was the numerous promises from Tracy made to me that my site would be good to go. Then all of sudden im dropped because of the review there bank did.

I applied with cardservice and linkpoint the next day, they reviewed the site and I got my merchant account.

The way I was handled by Tracey was a joke, I called her boss the next day to express my feelings about the situation.

Reelprofits,

We are finalizing some solutions now for smaller merchants which will be ready in the next week or two.

-----------

Greentea,

Sorry about your bad experience with PRI. FYI, you can use your Cardservice merchant account with our system whcih is light years ahead of Linkpoint. It is an easy switch if you are interested. Let me know.

Thank you, Mitch Farber

was getting killed with check fraud on ccbill and ibill.

and i can say that their checking system has cut check fraud to nearly zero, and check rebilling is good.
