No -- does it bother you that I know more about the law in CA than you do when you live in the state?

The state Supreme Court didn't say they could be issued... they said the would not issue an immediate halt to their issue...

Two different things.

again, lets not confuse them with facts. it makes it hard for them to think.:thumbsup

His actions are enough proof. If that's not enough proof for you, then I'm afraid you're just trying to create your own version of reality.

Two different things? Supreme court would not issue an immediate halt to an illegal act? Man! You crack me up lol or is it that the word "different" has a different meaning for you?

You make me laugh.

What does California law say on the matter? Has the Supreme Court of CA struck down that law?

SSA Money?

I'd love to see the SSA's books. That's been the government's "we can always dip into SSA" fund for years.

There's not enough in there to cover their obligations on a forward looking basis.

That my friend is a fact. Prove me wrong on that.

Laws are bullshit we all know that. Get real guys. You can turn and twist your way around laws easily in this country. Just look at our industry.

Politicians break the law every day with all their backroom corruption with special interest groups.

I don't give a damn what the law says in fact on this issue. The principle founding theme of this country was Liberty and Justice for all. Not just straight people.

If a gay couple wants to be married, it is simply not fair to discriminate and religate them to 2nd class status simply because they enjoy living, loving and having sex with a person of the same gender.

Its going to change and there is no way of stopping it now. You have tens of millions of gay people in this country. So just deal with it and accept the fact that they should have the same rights as us.

ahhh, so now that you can't prove that bush is doing anything wrong, you'll now blame the "government" and attach it to Bush.
Nice try. :winkwink:

KLR, we do have liberty and justice for all.

If a gay guy doesn't want to marry a woman, he has the exact same rights as a strait guy who doesn't want to marry a woman.
Marriage is about one man and one woman. Their are MANY variations of that, all are illegal.

Well my friend you've got over 500 Million people that disagree with that one sided opinion.

CamChicks 03-01-2004 10:34 PM

you don't have to get married to change your name.
so this is pointless political posturing. :2 cents:

What I find sorta lame is that whenever the white house speaks about the gay marriage thing, they make it sound as if the only ones supporting it are the crazy liberal judges, and that they are going against the will of the poeple('the people' being GWB, of course).

If you could produce a national poll backing up your fiction you'd have an argument. as it is you have only a lie.
The majority of Americans do not support Gay marriage. period.

rett11 03-02-2004 10:07 AM

100 poll results(well, maybe not 100)

I don't have to prove dog shit to you or theking or anyone. Nor do I have the desire to. You're just playing posting games obviously and can't deal with the truth on this issue.

That's why this board is so appropriately called Go Fuck Yourself.

Have a good day. I've got to get back to work.

hmmm, I ask for a national poll and you provide a poll from one of the smallest states in the union (and one of the most liberal)
typical but not note worthy.

This poll proves my point. Thanks for making my argument.
from your link:
In the latest CBS News/New York Times poll, 55 percent would oppose a law allowing homosexual couples to marry, giving them the same legal rights as other married couples, while 40 percent would favor such a law.
