Verotel, possible problems?

Has anyone else had the following problems since the 20th

1. no processed rebills
2. no wired check (my bank always receives this mid Friday)

I anyone has heard back from them (their oneline chat line has not been up when I check this past couple of days) let me know what they said.

Thanks

We got our wire no problem, but something is up. It's as if the whole company went on holidays or something cause absolutely nobody is around.
I have emailed some people that work their personaly, and got no reply wich is very strange.

SENSEX - was that last Monday's wire or this past Friday's (20th) wire?

I am still getting sign-ups but that would not matter if the whole company fell into a black hole.

Bizarre.

Bizarre.
the wire for last Monday (which was deposited) was for

Invoice date: 02/16/2004
Invoice period: From 01/24/2004 to 01/30/2004

Monday's (tommorows) wire is for:

Invoice date:02/23/2004
Invoice period: From 01/31/2004 to 02/06/2004

The last invoice that was generated was for the period ending on the 13th. -that seems to be normal, invoices for the previous week are usually available on the tues/wed/thursday of the next week.
Sales are still coming in, but rebills have stopped. There is an option in the control panel that allows an automatic email to be generated before the rebill is due. But... Verotel has been emailing members even if you have that option turned off. Theyre response was that they were trying to keep CB's at a minimum. (it's in there forum)
I think that the writing is clearly on the wall, I remember Globill rebills stopped about a week before they went under. I hope not, but I know some people that work at Verotel, and usually when I email them directly, they respond in minutes. I have not gotten a response in over a week from them wich I find unsettling.
Take it for what it's worth, but I would have a backup ready to go just in case...

Yeah, I just switched over to 2000Charge seconds ago.

Time to get a few more set up and online today.

I always had three processors, with Probilling and possibly Verotel I would be down to one. That would make me very nervous.

Hope this is just a holiday.

Clicks in 'click-to-buy' ratio are not displayed either.

It's like I'm getting signups withouth any clicks...

Seems like they are having some sort of software problem.

Maybe they are all upgrading to new software. Yeah that's probably the reason.

I check their message board and nothing new to report.

I noticed their online chat (help line) is now missing for non-webmaster clients also.

I just looked up any special events in Amsterdam and found nothing special.

Just checked, unrebilled members have not been deleted, so there's still a chance to recover the lost recurrings?
Its getting pretty worrying though....
Just hope the worst will not happen

Just got a reply from verotel merchant support

Indeed there has been a technical problem, because of which the recurring transactions haven't been entered in our subscription database correctly. At this moment our technical staff is working to fix the problem and to properly process all the transactions that should have recurred in the last days.
We expect that everything will be fixed within 24 hours. Sorry for the inconvenience.

At least I feel better seeing an email from them
Lets hope its all fixed in the next 24 hours.

I'm not showing ANY transactions after Feb 20th - initial or recurring. It would be Feb 22nd their time by now I presume, so that's at least a day or two with transactions falling into a black hole. The join page loads fine, I'm going to try a test signup in a moment.

The test signup was successful, and I received the webmaster email informing me of it - first I have seen in approximately 41 hours. I don't think I have ever seen a day go by without any signups, and it seems to be too much of a coincidence that it coincides with the rebill issue. I wonder what is, or was happening to prevent those initial signups on my site.

I missed a few rebills too, but they started back up again today.

Aslo, talked on the phone with Verotel tech yesterday about something else, so I know they're still around

BTW, they have a toll free number for US residents:

ccbill signups are also coming in very very slow... rebills are not going thru ... but this I believe is because they already (20th of the month) are close to going over the 1% chargeback for all sites combined. They have to drop a few sites in order for the ratio to be met later in the month...

You are not being paranoid to notice those lulls when sign ups stop... not with the fringe billing companies like Verotell. Trust me I was with globill and lost my proverbial shirt. There is huge risk using a processor like this... I understand why you hang on and on and refuse to become incorporated in another country but it might end up being the only option.

No new sales or re-bills for three days with verotel, which is strange but not surprising.
Verotel is renowned for their technical problems.

CCBILL is kicking ass for us BTW since we have our company operating in the USA , and we have them processing visa for us. We will add Epoch and perhaps Jettis now as second and third options and kiss goodbye to operations like Verotel forever.

I would like to thank globill for fucking us up the ass for the tune of 10k. It hurt at the time but looking back incorporating into the USA was the best thing we ever did!

I only use Verotel for debit & phone, but new sign ups have been coming through fine...had a couple this morning.

I rarely get replies to email I send, but I filled out their help form in the webmaster area to add them on a couple of other sites & it was done in just a few hours. Hard to say what's going on...
