Personally the new scary types of movies dont do much for me..all those slashers movies are more funny than scary...but Ghost Ship was a recent one that was pretty good.

If you want something classic..get The Shinning.

I just watched that movie last night. It was pretty freaky. I liked it. It has to be a damn good scary movie to get me going.

Jason and Freddie, and all that stuff, never really did anything for me. I agree they are classics but nothing tripy or freaky.

Junk was cool - it was like a low budget, gorier version of Resident Evil, but with bank robbers, Yakuza, and flesh eating zombies...

Another Heaven was ok. I hadn't heard anything about either of these films, so I wasn't able to be disapointed.

One thing I learned from reading GFY is that most people hate what I enjoy. So I just bite the bullet and see if I like it, no matter what the popular opinion is.

I see The Ring, 28 Days Later, and Cabin Fever slammed here a lot, but I enjoyed them all. To each their own.

I have a huge affinity for foreign horror and b-movies, so my tastes don't always reflect he "general popuation" and likewise

but I still dig on the classics too, I just like to be entertained.

"Suspiria" is cool shit as well. Not extremely scary but it's definitely pretty to watch. The opening scene is the shit. supposedly the most violent death scene in a movie. Although I think I've seen worse on this board.
