What's your weirdest dream?

Last night I had the weirdest dream I have ever had, at least that I can remember.

I dreamt that I walked through a huge mall with an old friend of mine, and then I said to him, "it would be cool to have rollerblades in here". Then I started to rollerblade on my shoes and went fast as fuck, before I bumped into an old girlfriend who was late with some papers. Then I had the need to correct words that were spelled wrong on her paper before she got to turn it in to some weird office.

I also dreamt that I stood beside a group of old people who were drug addicts, and one of them unbelievable enough was my dear old grandfather. He asked me, "so what are YOU on?" to which I replied "nothing of course" before we realized that some senile old lady had wandered off, and we were in a frenzy about finding her so she wouldn't wander out into the traffic or something.

And the last thing I dreamt before waking up was that I stood in the hallway looking out the door while taking off my shoes. Then I saw a UFO, and tried to get a friend-who was in another sector of the hallway taking off his shoes-to see it before it disappeared.

Oh yeah, and I don't believe in dreams making an arbitrary form of sense (black crows means death, etc - gupsy shit like that), so don't even go there. I believe dreams are just creative masturbation.

So...Tell us about your weirdest dream, if you can still remember it?

Sometimes I have dreams that I'm still in the Army, and even though I'm supposed to be out, they wont let me go.

Been going on for 7 years.

I woke up in the middle of the night once and actually recorded my dream into a VX2000 so I would never forget.

I posted it here on GFY and poeple told me what it meant. It was weird it had huge machines that were drilling into the earth.. I mean like 200 feet tall big ass earth movers with big ass augers attatched and there drilling right thru freeways, and homes and just plowing into the earth.

And it had UFO's and lot's of distanced traveled.

People here on GFY could acurately decipher what was happening in my life based on those dreams it was creepy and cool at the same time.

Since the dream discussion took a distinct turn towards the paranormal; When I was a little kiddy I logged all my dreams into a book because I thought they were so special that they should be preserved, and when I read it again some time ago it freaked me out a bit. They were all about being abducted by weird-looking aliens!

I know some people hardly ever are able to remember that they have dreamt, even though we all dream to varying degrees during sleep, so here is something you could do to get some vivid dreams:

Arrange to have yourself woken up (alarm clock, family member) long before you would ordinarily wake up. Then when you awake, try to stay conscious for at least 10 seconds or so before you close your eyes and enter the bliss again. If these last hours don't provide any recallable dreams, arrange to have yourself waken up every hour or so a couple of hours before you have to get on your feet.

I wouldn't suggest doing this on business days though. lmao

In 1983 I had this dream that was so real and so unusual. I was in the 9th grade at the time. I started High School the next year but most of my friends were already going there.

In real life we used to ride our bikes up there at night from time to time because one of my friends had a horticulture class and they had this goat as some kind of mascot. So we would ride up there and feed it.

So I have this dream that my friend Bill and I are up there and getting ready to leave. An old white Plymouth pulls in to the parking lot. It's about 1 am in the dream and the person in the car is trying to run us down. I escape, Bill doesn't. He gets creamed by the car.

I make back to a friends house. They wake up and let me in. I tell them what happened and they call the police. While we're waiting for the police the lady driving the car shows up. She's all burned and disfigured on one side of her face. She kills everyone in the house trying to get to me.

I escape again and make it to my house. She breaks in to my room. I had grabbed a knife before I locked my self in bedroom. When she comes in I attacked her. I just started stabbing her. She fell to the floor and I landed on top of her. I kept stabbing her and the knife was landing on her face. I kept stabbing.

But, every time I tried to look down at her I would black out and wake to find myself back in my bed. So I would jump up and keep start stabbing her again.

I woke up from the dream lying on my back and my right hand was slamming in to my right thigh like it was her face. I calmed down and got out of bed. The dream was so real. I walked over the closet and saw what looked like a little bit of dried blood on the closet door frame. It, at the time really freaked me out. I later recalled that my friend David had been over the day before eating a chocolate ice cream bar and had bumped in to the closet door. The dream was way more intense and I left out a lot of it. It seamed to go on for hours. Me trying to escape only to be later caught.

Well I started thinking about what a neat idea it would be to have a story about some deranged killer who was all burned and scared and was killing children in their dreams. And in the end the way to kill the killer was to pull him out of the dream in to reality. I wrote a short story about it. I showed it to one of my teachers who had a friend who wrote screen plays. My teacher loved the story and asked if he could show it to his friend. I said sure and that I would love to sell the idea.

I was told the screen writer didn't like it and that was that. 2 years later I'm sitting in a theater and I see a preview for Nightmare on Elm St. I thought it sounded familiar. When I saw the movie it was so close to the dream I had. I was pissed!

But any ways, that probably wasn't the most bizarre or scary dream I've ever had. But was the most interesting because of all the things that happened after it.

something I found out.. It may not be news to you, but I just discovered it for myself.

It only works when you are reeeeeaally fuckin tired. I was here working one night and I had been eating a lot of sugar compressed candy hearts. Well I got really sleepy and crawled into bed. Having that much sugar put my brain into overdrive but I was to tired to stay awake and so i had the most fucked up creepy dreams ever. I don't quite remember them but I remember being really fuckin freaked out when I woke up.

Like murders and, and ultra violence and creepy clowns and just extremely over active and hyper dreams. Scary, trippy.... exhausting.

I always have this dream where I'm on the edge of a whinding mountain road and I just jump off.*it's like third person view* And I always wake up right before I hot the ground and wake up in a cold sweat and think about what I just dreamt about and go back to sleep.

I've been having this dream for as long as I can remember and it never changes.

Anyone know what this means?
I would LOVE to know.

I forgot this one too. Everytime I have a dream about someone they NEVER have a face. They don't have a face but I know who they are.

I seem to have this happen from time to time too. Sometimes when my sleep schedule gets really out of whack, or I'm trying to take a nap but don't really want to go to sleep...I'll have those really crazy, tiring dreams. I have a hard time remembering them, but I'll be stressed out about things that happened in it throughout the day.

I actually had a couple years where I was somewhat like this almost every night. I would take in tons of caffiene and sugar during the day to stay up and keep working. Then I had a crappy bed, and really didn't "rest." So I'd be tired the next day, and take in tons of caffiene and sugar. It was like an endless loop. Damn..that was rough.

That's a common theme, isn't it? People always wake up just before harm comes to them. I wonder if people have dreamt about actually being killed or painfully wounded.

But that's the point. How would "ouch" feel like in a dream, and wouldn't it be interesting to hear what people might dream after they dream that they have died? And what they may have felt on an emotional level?

Just out of curiosity of course.

And to not confuse you, I don't lend any credibility to the idea that fantasizing about dying will make your brain die, and I hope you don't either.

I had several dreams where I almost died, but wake up before. But one day, I didn't wake up before I got hit. In the dream, I was driving to my parents house with my family and grandma in the car. The road to their house was blocked by this armed gang, and their cars, for no reason at all. In the dream, several of the people in the gang were friends of mine. So I pulled over and got out of the car, to talk to them and see what was up. (Keep in mind, this gang doesn't really exist and was made up of a strange mish-mash of people.) But they just basically pointed guns at me and gave me no options. So I'm like, WTF?! And I turn around to run back towards the car to tell get my family out of there, and I see my grandma out of the car, coming towards me. She can't see the guys with guns pointing at us...and she's confused. She was in Grandma mode, all happy wanting to give my friends cookies or something.

So I'm freaking out, I have to help my grandma any way I can or she's going to get shot. Then I feel something go into my back. It didn't really hurt, but it's like this whole engulfing feeling. And I'm like.."I got shot!" It was so strange. I was trying to avoid being shot...but actually 'getting hit,' I hadn't even thought about. And it was right in the middle of the back...so I immediately knew that my chance of surviving were slim to none. I tried to put my hands over it in the first split seconds...but it was right in the middle of my back...so it was basically impossible. My life didn't really flash before me, but my last thoughts of life kind of did. And I was just picturing the rest of my family getting all shot up. Then I fell to the ground on my face...and as I like blacked out in the dream, I woke up. And I was FUCKED UP.

After I typed that dream, I saw what you had been discussing. It was really strange. The strangest thing about what I experienced, was that JUST I experienced it. It sucks. You have all these thoughts in your head, and if you tell too many people, they're going to think your nuts. But the next day or so...phew. I would just be doing something, then all the sudden I'm like having flashbacks of gunfire, and then dying. And it's not even like watching a good movie, or reading a good book...you can't compare notes with anyone or anything. It was all in your head.

I don't think you should worry about the crazy stuff that happens in your dreams in the least, because I believe that dreams are just creative masturbation that have the added beneficial value of increasing your experiences and thoughts and therefore also the basis on which you can form your self and your identity. Besides, everybody dream completely senseless stuff every night whether they remember it or not, unless they have some kind of mutant brain that does not need the processes of what we call sleep in order to continue to process healthily.

i usually dream about something that is happening in my life, and the dreams are for the most part, completely realistic, not those ones where shit makes sense in the dream, but as sonn as you wake up you realise it was stupid. Anyway, sometimes i dont recognise it as a dream and while i am awake i will do something based on the fact that what happened in the dream actually happened, then when i finially figure out it didnt happen i feel like i retard.
