No matter how big I think I am? WTF? I think I am a nobody in this industry. I have never seriously claimed to be anything more than that. Often when people ask me who I am or what I do I tell them I am a newbie. I have even had my name badge read "Newbie" at a number of shows. The fact that a large number of people on GFY tend to follow me or like me does not mean that I think I am anything special. Stop holding me responsible for the words and actions of others.

Now...About the people who waste your time...AGAIN...Why is Adult any different than mainstream? A potential customer is a potential customer is a potential customer. How many times have you gone to a store and talked to a sales rep then walked out without buying anything?

I deal with people every day who waste my time...It's part of doing business but I would NEVER tell them "Hey...Unless you place an order now, you are not worth my time." That's just fucked.

I am the top designer in the adult industry in the opinions of many. I am kept extremely busy because of that fact. So busy, in fact, that my girlfriend has to start answering my ICQ messages for me.

Someone contacts her and tells her he wants her to have me sign some papers.

But there's a catch...

20 other people will also be getting a shot at this contract.

I am highly fucking motivated now. I would love to take time out of my enormously busy schedule to sign papers and look over a deal that I have a 1:20 chance of landing (5% chance of getting the job, 95% chance of NOT getting the job).

And then the guy calls my girlfriend, whom I love more than anyone, an assmonkey on the largest message board in the industy.

I am VERY motivated now. I really want to be super nice to this person.

This is why I use the phone for my corporate biz dealings. Instant messaging looses all the inflections, tone and emotions.

This is not a 1:20 thing. EVERYBODY that I contacted will be offered a peice of the action. I contacted people in all aspect of this industry as well as mainstream.

There was a 100% chance of doing this deal with me if he was interested. Just like all the others I contacted.

I'm glad that everybody seems to know what my intentions are and how things will work for others. NOT.

Don?t know what the big deal is in signing a confidentiality document (below is part of one that I signed yesterday to get a RFP). At least you know the company is serious and having a RFP is a lot easier to price out rather than having the client say: I want a website and how much is it going to cost.

On the other hand, if I didn?t want to sign it, I sure would not want to be called on an ?assmonkey? on a forum.

Learn to your gf to be a bit more friendly when she responds to potential clients. I understand she is not a sales person, but since it has this role it will benefit your end. If her friendly attitude is not received from the other part she needs to make sure this will be achived. Today's pain in the ass webmaster can be next time your best one. Suddenly closing him the door won't make him knock it again.

People contact me quite often to discuss ideas and sign a NDA. Most of them time I dont bother because I already have plenty to work on. I'll just let them know that hey I'm really busy and cant devote my attention and time to this, you'd be better off asking someone else right now.
