verotel signups

I've been using verotel for almost a year now without any problems. It seems to me since they implemented the new "no chargeback fee" system signups dropped like 80%. I wrote couple of emails to merchantsupport without any response. Very professional. Anyone sharing the same problems?

cheers
Marc

No, but using deductive reasoning from what we've seen in the last few weeks (see: Probilling, Stormpay) I can only imagine what's in store.

Same here. My paysite converted OK with Globill. After Globill went down I took CCbill, and my site sucked, the ratio was tripled or so (maybe even more, i dont know, i redesigned it)

my verotel signups are still strong no change since the new chargeback thing.

we should all get together and gang up on them at http://www.wee2004.com and confront them about their lack of email replying.

This is the prob with a lot of webmasters in this industry. It's always "someone else's fault". When globill was in biz I used to hear "I was doing so great with ccbill now my sales with globill sucks". Now it's going the other way? Are you VISA compliant or just accepting mastercard? Anyways, I don't see any significant changes in sales after going from globill to ccbill. Also, since it goes hand in hand with amount of traffic, sales are still not where it was with globill. I had a good amount of traffic coming using globill redirect from 1000s of doorways, avs, free sites, tgp galleries etc. I'm yet to change all of those dead redirect links.. but should by next few months. Anyways, didn't see any significant changes with Verotel either.

No disrespect, but lets not pretend that verotel answers emails, and if by chance they did it would never be in a prompt & business like manner.
The only time I was ever able to get in touch with you guys is when I picked up the phone to call you.
Emails NEVER get answered for me period, im not the only that has said this....

mine seem normal, but the fact that you (usually a verotel supporter) are experiencing problems worries me a little.

are you really noticing an 80% drop?

Yes my average C/R is 1/15 and for the past 4 days I am at 1/32 I'm not sure what % worse off that is but it's not good...

This is what happened to me.
hooked up some paysites they ran well for
2 weeks sales were good then the hammer fell, sales came to a crashing halt
I emailed them spoke with them and they try to blame my traffic? well sorry! this pattern of sales flying for 2 weeks adds up to ratios as well, thus sales just don't stop! they couldn't givee me any further comments on this so I said fuck this..
and boycotted this crappy processor..

anyone getting results have horse shoes up there ass. I think Verotel has taken a beating and won't last long. my opinion..

Signups are down a bit this week, but whenever Verotel has experiened downtime or problems, my backup (CCBill) sales usually pick up. In all fairness to Verotel, my Topbuck sales are down as well, and my Affiliate sales with CCbill and Verotel are down. It's happened before and will happen again. Cant be good every week. If things are slow next week, ill start to worry.
And no, Verotel never answers emails, and when you email Darryl directly, he just forwards them to Nicole anyways...
Live support is OK for basic stuff, but the phone is still the best way to contact them.
ohhh, and their fax machine has never worked...LOL.

No. there are still some U.S. 3rd party billers that dont charge the $750.00 fee and they are still in biz. Once Visa crushes them like a little bug, we will see.

But Verotel uses Asian and European banks and has no U.S. presence. They also proccess over 100 million dollars a year so im pretty sure their banks would do something to help them out. At least you would think...

Just a thought, but the last few times I checked verotels signup pages recently they loaded for shit. I would assume this impacts signups.

I remember reading it in one of their newsletters. And ive asked in detail about what their plans are in case they are targeted, and they were very kind to explain in detail all about their banking relationships, and how they work. Maybe its all a show, but its more then Probilling ever told me when we inquired.

That 100 mill/month is no big deal and it would not be a surprise that VeroTel do this.

ProBilling do other "processing" within their operation which is likely to be in the region of 100 mill as well. Their face as "probilling" is the only one that is relevant to the adult biz.

who? Are YOU using any of these billers? And why do you think if Globill,ACpay,Probilling can go down, somebody like neova.net won't?

Don't you remember when the CEO of Globill used to come on GFY and talk shit about how he knew what his company was doing?

so they bought a membership, then did a chargeback claiming fraud and that they'd sue, so verotel emailed me and explained what happened, and that because of that they'd have to suspend by account and all money for 3 months

Darryl = Sales & Merchant Relations
Nicole = Merchant Support (technical)

Darryl forwards e-mails to the department that it pertains to or personally answers himself but in all cases tries to make sure that you get an answer - and Darryl usually is cc'd back on the answer from another department.

What are we talking about here anyway, whether you get an answer or who the answer comes from?

It may more to do with getting a reply than who it comes from, - at least judging from the number of "no response" email comments on this thread.

Maybe Darryl needs to keep a close watch on email...

eg:

Yep same problem here. Emailed them about it and no response..

Darryl has always responded in the past to my emails, and although it took a couple of days this time, I eventually did get a response. That is why he gave me the "UH exuse me?" comment.

You will all probably know I am a Verotel fan, but at the moment the surfers that are getting to their join page are not converting anywhere near what they usually do..

What are we talking about here anyway, whether you get an answer or who the answer comes from?

I don't care who answers but so far nobody has done anything.

If things are slow next week, ill start to worry.
Perhaps it's just a slow period.

But in the Verotel admin panel there is this click-to-buy ratio graph. The ratio is based on the number of people who actually entered the Verotel's CC form.
So this ratio (I presume) should be pretty consistent with just small fluctuations over time (fewer people interested in signing up=fewer clicks to CC form).

In my case for the last 2 weeks this ratio has been about 3 times worse than the average ratio since I started with Verotel

I'm assuming you're referring to your agreement? If so, I'm looking into it MC.
