$300 per month right ? I am not really sure if you can write off the personal property tax.

Ours is about 481 per month which is included in our mortgage.

You can however write off business use of home.

If you have an in home office you should be able to estimate a portion of the total expense as a business expense. I.e. total square feet of home = 2000, approx. office space 500 sq feet, therefore you could write off 1/4 or $75 as a business expense.
(that is the way it works in Canada, I'm pretty sure US tax laws are similar.)

This would go for other home expenses as well, i.e. interest on your mortgage, utilities, insurance, etc.
