:mad webair hosting - breakdowns??

Hi,
Everyone is talking så good about webair hosting, I have been using Webair hosting for about 2 months and the servers have been down several times, a couple of times for some hours.

Is anyone else having hosting problems with webair?

They come highly recommended by ROKSO spammers, but they tend to take better care of their "higher paying" customers.

all servers will fail at some point.

all hardware has a MTBF.

the question is what happens when something fails.

webair touts that it has weekly backup on my servers.

don't know exactly what that means, as i've not had a failure yet.

have redundancy built into my servers, but primary stuff has not failed yet.

so we shall see.

it would be nice if webair told exactly what their weekly backup will recover---apparently no one is having a failure at webair, so i would be very interesting in knowing.

WEBAIR

Dedicated : Awesome

Virtual : Unreliable (this has been my experience at several hosts)

Awesome Tech Support

Im just a webmaster trying to make a living, seems you got some hot potatos there...

I use webairs virtual hosting, and I can not upgrade to dedicated because I have not enogh money to do so, and I can not make more money if my server is down to much.

My concern is real - so put your hot potatos where they fit best!

I do not doubt that Webairs dedicated hosting is good, I have also read that Xbiz gave them this years award.

But virtual servers do not seem to live up to that, or meaby it is because they got so much adverticement from Xbiz that they got bombarded with new webmasters and have not gotten new servers to fulfill the actual needs.

My impression is not good so far. I am seriously considering moving somewhere else.

garochi_m,

We posted what the issues were with one of the virtual clusters were 2 weeks ago. For the past 2 months we have been working on new proprietary technology that we are implementing on the virtual clusters now to make them extremely stable. I cannot get into detail as to what the technology offers in a public forum as of yet, but if you contact me privately I'll have you moved to the new server and compensate you for any issues you have experienced. I assure you no other host will have this technology unless we decide to license it out.

Contact me at your convenience.

why are the only complaints about webair from alter-ego's with under 100 posts? hehe funny shit... my 8 servers with webair have been hummin beautifully for a very very long time...

to the aliased competition: if your service needs to put down other companies to get back your perceived market share, you're doing something wrong.... hehe

I am very happy to hear that a representative from Webair has responded to this post and that something is being done about this issue. Thanks

Now ... for some that critizize me for posting my concern....

Its all very good when you have cash and tip top dedicated servers and everything runs like melted butter. But when you are a small webmaster trying to make a living, the worst that can happen is a website that does not show.

What the hell is the matter with some people, when they start making money they give shit about everyone else.

Thanks again to Webair

After jumping around from host to host, for a long time, I finally found a place to call home - Webair.
