Remember Sleazy is 6'4".... regardless of weight that height would make for a tight fit in most high end sports cars. I have a Car and Driver mag where they review the Lamborghini Countach and one of the test drivers was 6'2". He said he felt like he was being wedged into the car like a sardine into a can. |

As for the car. I like your choice, but I would seriously consider something a little more exotic. I love the Porsches, and would own another one, but there are some hot limited models coming out of Detroit over the next 6 months. I am not comparing US iron to anything coming out of Germany, but these are some choice rides. High on my list right now is the Ford GT or Cadillac's V12 if it ever hits the market. http://www.fordvehicles.com/fordgt/index.asp?bhcp=1 As for the people suggesting ways to save money by buying inferior models. You just don't understand. This is not about saving money, this is about having superior machinery and engineering. -dd |
Hi Quite,
Here are 2 pics of the turbo I had which was Artic Silver without the X50 package. I will try and take a few pics of the one I have now tomorrow. http://carlover.150m.com/_webimages/IMG_1228s.jpg http://carlover.150m.com/_webimages/IMG_1048.JPG |
Here is another nice pic at South Beach:

this thread motivates me to close GFY and get back to work.
peace folks. |
Go for the TURBO. When the boost kicks in, hold on. Porsche made my 1993TT so that you can very easily remap the cpu and change the turbos for 500hp.
http://www.drunkspringbreakgirls.com/gfy/p/P1010157.jpg ALMOST FAMOUS http://www.drunkspringbreakgirls.com/gfy/p/thecover.jpg http://www.drunkspringbreakgirls.com/gfy/p/5.jpg |
I think it's quite distasteful that Porsche would choose to name one of their cars after the World Trade Center disaster.

At 6'3 I fit into most cars... Lambos, Ferraris, Supras, Corvettes, Porsches... my S2000 is a tight fit though. Back hurts after driving for awhile. :( |
If horsepower is your thing, you should buy a Supra. :)
My Supra is running near 800 horsepower. 686 at the rear wheels! Not as expensive as some of your tastes, however, even more rare than any Porsche less than a GT2 here in Vancouver. Ok, ok, enough talking about the Surpa.... |

I drove one of the first delivered in Germany last month but I wasn't too impressed ..
The body sucks .. but that is just my opinion .. you should be happy as you can not drive it 190 mph all the time anyways .. And it looks more like a Boxster when it's passing by than a 911 .. |
heh, i always said if they made the 911 turbo a convertible it would be the perfect car. took them 30+ years, but they finally did it :thumbsup

This thread sucks.
Quiet you know this is what you get when you ask poor peoples opinions on a topic like this right.:winkwink: |

... ok, my 3 year old can tell the difference in between a boxter and a turbo from 300 meters away, I do no longer want to hear your opinions on sports cars. |
Had a 996 Turbo for 2 years now, I'd say great choice, but why bother with the 450BHP upgrade, the car is way to fast already, and its impossible to flatten your right foot without breaking every speed limit going in a few seconds. Drive a std engine car and you'll be blown away at the power. Cant see the 450 option being a thing unless your taking the car onto the track.
Here's my baby! http://www.cutecontent.com/images/outside1 (2).jpg |

You must have missed the memo: "More power is better". :D |

|
Quiet, I got the 996 Turbo Coupe. Instead of taking the Porsche Power Upgrade, checkout a professional Tuner. You will get at least 500hp for the same money and don't lose any insurance as well. I gave mine to Techart (www.techart.de).
