Solar Billing is now live!

I don't want to spam here, but I am not sure where this would go. Sorry if this is in the wrong spot - please feel free to move it if necessary!

The ever-growing need for a safe, reliable billing option for internet users has finally been fulfilled. We are proud to announce the launch of Solar Billing, at www.SolarBilling.com! Solar Billing is your online credit card processing solution, and best of all there are NO RESTRICTIONS and NO SETUP FEES!

For internet merchants, it has become increasingly more difficult to obtain merchant accounts for online sales, especially in the so-called ?high risk? areas. Many webmasters had to turn to a third-party billing system that would still allow them to accept credit cards since that ability is a necessity on the Internet. Now, the added regulations imposed on webmasters make it very difficult for some, and impossible for others, to use these third-party systems.

Now comes Solar Billing! Solar Billing has developed a system whereby persons who could not otherwise accept credit cards, for whatever reason, can now do so, without worrying about the restrictions imposed by the major credit card companies. If you are an adult webmaster, you can now accept credit cards for payment without a merchant account. Do you run an online casino? Now players can again instantly fund their casino accounts using their credit cards! Run online auctions? Now you can accept credit cards for payment without getting your own merchant account!

Solar Billing offers real-time credit card processing for all types of transactions. We have a complete set of webmaster features including a shopping cart, automatic rebilling, the ability to edit membership usernames and passwords right from the site, and of course instant online access to track account activity.

Additionally, not only can users accept credit cards for payment, they can accept checks, bank transfers, 900 billing, and more. Add Solar Billing?s extensive chargeback protection coupled with ?Certified by Visa? security protocol and users have the safest, most reliable, stable payment processing solution available!

Webmasters using Solar Billing have complete control of all membership activities, including the ability to edit usernames and passwords, process automatic rebills and trial subscriptions, as well as monitor conversion rates. Payments are made directly into users? bank accounts in most instances, so there is no waiting for a check to arrive in the mail.

Solar Billing offers a competitive standard percentage rate of 12.5%, but as with everything about the system, that rate can be customized for each of our clients. In order to prevent chargebacks, in addition to our extensive dispute resolution system, we have a 10% reserve for the first six months. However, during that period, users still have the full amount of their account available to send to other Solar Billing users. A users account matures in 30 days, after which time users can withdraw funds directly into their bank account, have checks issued, or utilize another form of payment. This is in order effort to prevent money laundering, as well as protecting our users.

Solar Billing took the best features of all the third-party billing systems, combined them with the convenience and security of the other alternative payment methods, took away the restrictions, and came up with one fantastic total billing/payment solution for everyone!

SOLAR BILLING ? YOUR PAYMENT PROCESSING SOLUTION!

Do you allow merchants to run affiliate programs?

Does your system include the code to do so?

If your signup form has username and password on the same
page and big link for new customers then you're already way
ahead of ePassporte whos site is a usability nightmare.

Arizona is fine....

However GoDaddy isn't....

I don't think I can trust a service which uses a registrar that could
take the domain at anytime due to some BS creative terms
violation.

GoDaddy doesn't make money selling domains.

GoDaddy makes money fucking their customers.

I can't see any info on affiliate programs on the site. Managing
members and rebills is cool, but if it's missing an affiliate program
section it's kinda missing teeth.

I'll switch a couple of sites today if it has affiliate support.

No.

I'm just saying that he should switch registrars.

Here is why.

Some odd Terms violation happens because GoDaddy decides
they want your domain.

Lets say a surfer reports company for spam that didn't happen.

Now the domain belongs to GoDaddy.

Now the gateway stops working.

Now all sites using company have no billing.

Solution?

Use a registrar that makes money from selling domains. Do not
use a company which sells their domains for the same price they
buy them or less. These companies do not make money from
domains. They make money from value added services and
redirection of traffic on terms violations. You'll notice many of
these low priced domain companies have highly subjective terms
which make your domain theirs if ever they decide the want it.

ePassporte hope you're watching this... Take note.

These guys have the same username/password setup as
Amazon, Yahoo, Hotmail, PayPal, etc etc etc. They also have a
nice big link for new users and it actually says something other
than "Click Here".

If he gets back to me about the affiliate program I'll be using
these guys rather than ePassporte as I've been waiting months
for you to make your signup form usable with no result.

10 mins work ePassporte.... 10 mins work and you *would have*
been billing for one of the hottest new products around.

best advice to any noobie - use NEW billing companies no one's ever heard of with lifespans measured in months, not years - it's always best to avoid those billing companies with long histories and solid reputations

i mean, it's not like we haven't seen one billing company after another bite the dust

When no other billing company provides the features you need
apart from those that say they do when infact they don't. The
first and only option that will work is acceptable to me.

Also there is changes going on in billing companies. So far those
that have gone out of business have been those that don't even
know why it is they were having problems.

I've been lucky enough to get some good info from professional
long-term bankers. To me any company that is doing CBV and is
AIS certified is way in-front of almost any adult billing company
we've used.

I use cwnic (cyberwurx) for my domains. Long-time adult
community member and actually makes money off domains rather
than terms.

ePassporte does not do recurring transactions at this time. We have not done it in the past either, and I've stated this about a million times, I'm sorry if you missed it.

Visa has some VERY strict rules about use of their brand, use of their system and so on, we all should be aware of that since nearly a week doesn't go by without someone posting something about issues with processing.

ePassporte complies with all Visa regulations in our daily business.

Legitimate IPSPs comply with Visa regulations in their daily business.

Re: ePassporte

I wasn't talking about recurring transactions. At no stage did I
say anything at all about recurring transactions.

We have a shopping cart which sells a tangible product.

If you were to conduct a useability study on ePassporte's surfer
interface you'd quickly find it's got a number of easy to fix
problems.

If a customer comes to the ePassporte, assumes they have a
login already and enters an existing username (one they don't
own) they are sent to a form to enter a new shipping address. If
they don't happen to look in the select box they will have a hard
time figuring out that they are on the wrong page. If they then
enter a password that doesn't match (the password is on the
second page, unlike every other site on the internet?!?!???) they
will be told their password is wrong. However at no stage will
they be prompted to signup for a new account. They are also left
at a dead-end if entering a username that doesn't already exist.
During the whole sales process there is *ONE* chance for a
surfer to become an ePassporte customer. This comes in the form
of a tiny text link labelled "click here".

ePassporte....

Poor.

Very Poor.

Simply not good enough.

We're not going to waste time going to a great deal of trouble to
promote our products if the page that handles payment is
designed to drive them away.

All you need to do to improve ePassporte out-of-sight is put
username/password on the same page, like everyone else! Every
single other site that has ever been created that works anything
like yours has username and password on the same page. There
is a reason for this... It's the way it works best.... Yes I know your
system has unique usernames. However that matters little unless
the surfer is told what the hell is going on.

Our history is this. I am an attorney who has been representing people in the adult industry for quite some time now. My main partner has been an adult web designer for many years as well. I have run some smaller adult sites and quite frankly got sick and tired of getting screwed by the merchant services companies. Thanks to a certain merchant system, CardService International, who was running illegal, unauthorized chargebacks against me, I ended up as a TMF. If anyone here is TMF, you know that you may as well be dead in terms of getting a merchant account. I took my legal knowledge and my partner's experience, and came up with a new system.

This systwm has been over a year in the making. We are backed by Deutsche Bank, which everyone knows as one of the most reputable banks in the world. They are providing the merchant backbone for the whole system. Everything has been approved by them, as well as by Visa as being legit.

We are not a third-party system, so we don't have to deal with all those new regs. Nor are we a bank, so we are different from PayPal.

This system was set up specifically for adult webmasters and online casinos. We are not a regular billing system that is trying to venture into this arena. We started it out as a system specifically for the high risk areas which are always getting restricted by Visa, etc. Everything is run with the knowledge and approval of the credit card companies.

We were up at Internext promoting this, although we were not officially launched at that time. If anyone wants to speak to me personally about this, you can call me at 480-704-5030. That is my direct line to my law office in Phoenix, and I will answer any questions you have.

We are installing our affiliate program, which will be 2 levels deep, and will allow INSTANT payouts to webmasters. XBiz did an article on us yesterday.

We are offering a 10% special for life to the first 100 people who sign up.

Apparently to pass law school these days you don't have to take any writing courses...

Ben -

Sorry - I have been swamped and did not get a chance to respond to the thread until today. We are adding our affiliate program, 2 levels deep, with instant payouts to your affiliates. Please email me at [email protected]. Thanks.

PS Thanks for sticking up for me, Ryan!

RAULK! Had no idea you were hanging out here.

If Ryan says it's good. It's good.

mryellow is right about godaddy. So many bad events with them it's not even funny. If you run a processor/hosting company/affiliate program it's advisable to stay away from them. A small site going offline a couple of days is not a big deal, but having your co. not processing transactions and provide no support towards consumers due to that is tragical.
