I think the problem is that none of the mods or Lensman has time to play detective and go looking up and comparing IP addresses....... too bad, because I hazard a guess that a whole block of aliases would disappear pretty quick if someone ever took the time to nail the right IP's.

if they sign up via AOL (for example) it is impossible to ban their IP, unless they want to ban 25% of the country at a time.
