STOP serious post re: DDR PC2100 Ram
DDR PC2100 do both banks need to be the same value ie: 512 each or can you have 1 gig in one and 512 in the other?

I believe you can have one of each type! I've never had a problem have 2 different sizes of ram since the EDO ages!

If it's dual channel ram, they have to be of the same size. Otherwise it's ok, although it can be tricky sometimes to get a system stable with different memory sticks.
