I could do 90% of the repairs myself I would imagine (although parts would no doubt cost $$). Too bad I don't have 350k to spend on a car, or else that would be one hell of a ride.

Would never buy it, who wants to buy a ferrari with a salvaged title, when for 33% more they can get a good one, never wrecked.

The airbags and components would cost a fortune alone to repair. Trying to get the remaining parts to put it back together would be very difficult and time consuming.

Like hyper said. There is a reason the insurance company didnt bother.

I agree, getting those replacement parts would be impossible ig you wanted to get them from ferrari. The car is totally hand made.

they only built a couple of hundred, and to even be considered for one, you already had to own a Ferrari.

Its not like a regular car a dealer will keep on a lot... You'd NEVER find one for MSRP.

Yes, there are a few that were sold on ebay a few months ago, when they first came out. I think you can get one for about a million cash if you look around.

Buying any Ferrari for MSRP is tough, unless you are a previous owner. I am already on the list for the new style 360 set to come out in 2 years.

New they list for $643k, so it's a sizeable savings. But I hear ya, you're not going to get that fixed at the local Midas shop.

I don't get why the insurance company paid out $1.3 million...unless maybe this jackass rear-ended another enzo! I'd think that would make international news though, as a crime against humanity.

That's sort of funny.... if in 2 years from now you were completely broke, you could broker a deal for the 360 you're in line for and probably walk away with big money in the pocket

I doubt I would ever buy another high end car. Been there, done that. But if I can make an easy $50k flipping it, great.

When you wait in line and your ferrari is ready. Right after you make the purchase the dealership will offer you much more money then you JUST paid, just so they can sell it as "used".

I think insurance paid out 1.3 million because that is what the owner paid for it. The value of cars isn't necessarily the list price, it's that scarcity thing you should have learned in high school economics. I wonder how cheap you could fix that thing up for like with no airbags, tons of bondo and fiberglass. But for 350K I think I would not bother.

I say it is a write off but the hope to sell it is someone will think no it is fixabkle either way your looking at spending big dollars and if you save 100k by repairing your ahead. Easy to sell a working toy be hard to sell a broken one.

Yep, production is only 399. Waiting list is lightyears out. Pretty much have to know someone at the top of the list to get one.

Best guy to know is builder and property developer Benny Caiola, Jr. One of Ferrari's biggest US customers. He got allocated 2 Enzo's. Also owns an F40, F40LM, F50, 333SP, 512BB, 575M, 456, 355, a Dino, and four 360's. Also has a Lamborghini Diablo, Murcielago, 2 AMG Mercedes, a Pagani Zanda, a Porsche GT2, and an Aston Martin Vanquish.

What, he doesn't own an Opel? HAHAHAHAHA
