$350K+ for wrecked Ferrari Enzo
then repair yourself if your offer is accepted.
http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...ategory=62 12 hmm... |
someone cryed the day that happened.
|
I could do 90% of the repairs myself I would imagine (although parts would no doubt cost $$). Too bad I don't have 350k to spend on a car, or else that would be one hell of a ride.
|
damn that must be a bitch!
|
the insurance company didnt want to pay
to have it fixed for some reason. that would keep me from buying something like that |

I bet it tops half a mill. berfore the aution is over.

Would never buy it, who wants to buy a ferrari with a salvaged title, when for 33% more they can get a good one, never wrecked.
|
353 miles on it. i'd be fucking suicidal!
|
Brad, the enzo is not eazy to purchase. almost impossible infact.
|
|
The airbags and components would cost a fortune alone to repair. Trying to get the remaining parts to put it back together would be very difficult and time consuming.
Like hyper said. There is a reason the insurance company didnt bother. |
how much would something like that cost to fix?

I have seen them on ebay before. $1.1-3ish. I agree, getting those replacement parts would be impossible ig you wanted to get them from ferrari. The car is totally hand made. |
Poor bastard.
It's one thing writing off your parents car or something but an Enzo - fuck! |

they only built a couple of hundred, and to even be considered for one, you already had to own a Ferrari.

Beautiful cars, such a shame to see one wrecked like this.

It wasn't the owner - not for very long anyway :) |

Buying any Ferrari for MSRP is tough, unless you are a previous owner. I am already on the list for the new style 360 set to come out in 2 years. |
I wonder if you could hack a Enzo engine into something like a VW bettle.
That would be some funny shit. |
Personally I would not want one... but I would want the pussy that comes along with owning one.
I dont know shit about expensive cars, but I know your guarenteed not to be ignored driving an enzo. heh this site rocks. http://www.wreckedexotics.com/996/ |

I don't get why the insurance company paid out $1.3 million...unless maybe this jackass rear-ended another enzo! I'd think that would make international news though, as a crime against humanity. |
Quote:
That's sort of funny.... if in 2 years from now you were completely broke, you could broker a deal for the 360 you're in line for and probably walk away with big money in the pocket :) |
interesting....

I doubt I would ever buy another high end car. Been there, done that. But if I can make an easy $50k flipping it, great. |

I think insurance paid out 1.3 million because that is what the owner paid for it. The value of cars isn't necessarily the list price, it's that scarcity thing you should have learned in high school economics. I wonder how cheap you could fix that thing up for like with no airbags, tons of bondo and fiberglass. But for 350K I think I would not bother.
|
yeah im on that waiting list too
|
poor car :(
|
that ride is totally amazing, tommy hilfiger bought one. i would love to see that crash, shit would be nuts.
Whats the deal with Camerons pink rover has it been sold? |

Somehow I see this being the next Monster Garage project car. :1orglaugh
|
the parts alone should be worth more then that

I say it is a write off but the hope to sell it is someone will think no it is fixabkle either way your looking at spending big dollars and if you save 100k by repairing your ahead. Easy to sell a working toy be hard to sell a broken one.

Best guy to know is builder and property developer Benny Caiola, Jr. One of Ferrari's biggest US customers. He got allocated 2 Enzo's. Also owns an F40, F40LM, F50, 333SP, 512BB, 575M, 456, 355, a Dino, and four 360's. Also has a Lamborghini Diablo, Murcielago, 2 AMG Mercedes, a Pagani Zanda, a Porsche GT2, and an Aston Martin Vanquish. |
damn that is a shame
|
That must have hurt!
