I am currently 110... 8 lbs over my "norm". (I am short and have tiny bones so I have no eating disorder before the flames come on)

I have been as large as 150+ 10 yrs ago and I have been through every fucking diet in the book:

Atkins: raised my cholesterol to a dangerous level
Vegetarian: Sorry, I like Steak too much.
Pill: Total Bullshit I tried in College

Solution: Eat well balanced meals and don't eat too much fat, too much carbs, too much of anything.... just keep yourself in check! :thumbsup

I am not a dr. either but I think you should make your daily dose only and drink it at your convenience but before meals.
Herbalife have a product containing green tea extract and lots of herbs which you mix with hot or cold water but it is not decaffeianated. It also has Orange pekoe, maltodextrin, cardamom extract, soy bean oil and hybiscus flower powder in it. I have low blood pressure and like it much better than coffee.

you know that you look great.. you should not take pills on go on dangerous diets. But my friend can experience with cinnamon and get rid of his diabetes again.

I tried my first glass of green tea with cinnamon/honey/lemon. I'll try to have a couple glasses a day and see if I feel any improvements. I've been working out 5-6 days a week lately.

I did while I was out last night.

I have cinnamon, but it's who knows how old.

I bought some sticks & will grind them in the grinder as needed.

... in about 5 minutes actually. :)

I had a glass last night and I'm having one right now. It's much better with some Splenda added and a lot of lemon juice.

Ok here's a question for those who have tried it...



I ground my own cinnamon....

I used about a teaspon of cinnamon, a squeeze of lemon, a teaspoon of honey and decaf green tea.

When I got to the bottom of the cup there was all the cinnamon and honey mixed err... more like jelled together in this saliva-like consistency.

Did you get this too?

And did you drink the entire cinnamuck at the bottom?

I'm brewing 2 cups from the same tea leaves. They say you can brew up to 3, but I found after 2 it really gets weak.

I let the 2nd cup go for 4 mins. (3 mins on the first one)

Honey is definitely another one of those amazing substances.. Even the ancients were well aware of it's curative properties and used it often in medicine. Being that it's antibacterial, they put it especially on cuts and burns and it helped to prevent infection and promote healing. I even use it now instead of creams sometimes.. Amazing stuff.

Ya know, I read that article and it sure seemed like the majority of high priced medications which are prescribed so frequently were for things we have decided to take a pill for instead of finding the underlying problem causing it. :( I'm not saying that EVERY case of high blood pressure, cholesterol or depression can be helped w/o the need for pharmaceuticals, but geeze - drugs seem to be the first reactionary course of treatment these days.

I was watching a cooking show the other day that said the cinnamon you buy in the store isn't really that great. Do you have an online source for the "real" stuff? Raw honey I can get at any roadside stand here in the woods :winkwink: but there's no cinnamon which isn't mass produced.

I'm going to try this in my black tea - I tried the green tea and just can't get turned on by it. :(

Umm...quick question...I had a glass last night, a glass this morn and a glass just now. This glass had less water than normal, but same amount of ingredients. Should I feel nauseous from this? Kinda have that feeling that I have if you eat vitamins without having food along with it. weird...cinnamon cause this?

Ok, just for experiment's sake...I've been consistently losing 3-3.5 pounds per week. I started drinking 1 glass of this concoction per day (1 tsp cinnamon, 1 tsp honey, lemon, green tea) once he made this thread. I will weigh myself again on Saturday probably. If you guys want, I can report back and tell you if I lost anything more than the typical 3-3.5 pounds per week.

That's weird... my diabetic friend is drinking 3x2 cups per day and is feeling great. I hope it's nothing that a big glass of water or green tea could not cure.
