I went to one when I was younger and got in an accident, haven't been to one since. I don't even goto the doctor and I should.

When I was younger and heavilly involved in sports, I used to visit it to stay healthy. Many years later I have back problems and I wonder if they chiropractor had something to do with my aches. It's painful at the time but you always feel betetr after. I'm just questioning the long term effects. Give it a shot once, and if your body responds negatively, then you know it's wrong for you.

Often times stretching to stay limber will help you avoid a lot of aches and pains...Whether you are active or not.

The problem is after 3 back surgeries my spine is getting more out of line and I now have rounded shoulders already causing one torn rotator cuff. I think if I dont get something done I will rip the other one soon.

It depends on your problem, and the Chiropractor you choose. A good Chiropractor and an inversion table are the only things that kept me from having back surgery a few years ago (herniated disc - nothing else worked).

Make sure you choose a doctor by referrals (there are really bad ones out there), and stay away from the ones that think chiropractic heals everything from cancer to your aura color. Good luck!

My best friend and her husband are both Chiropractors and have several large clinics. I just got adjusted yesterday, as a matter of fact. I think it helps, a lot. I always feel better and have fewer headaches when I do it regularly. Sometimes we get busy and don't do it for awhile, she also just had a baby recently, and I can always tell when I've gone too long without it.

Try it. I bet you'll be surprised.

I was always a sceptic, but I went for about 3 months this fall to fix a chronic back problem that has been nagging me for about 4 years.

It seems to have worked pretty well, but its one of those soft fuzzy "you have to keep doing these excercizes and stretches" kind of cure.

my hubby went after an accident when nothing else seemed like it would help him...and the chiropracter fixed him right up. he swears by them
