Pretty impressed with my camera

I've had it for a while but I was just taking some pictures of the famous Pookie for some of my friends and while I was shrinking it down in Photoshop I was looking at the quality. I had it on the highest setting. First pic is the one brought down for web viewing and the 2nd pic is a cropped out piece from the original, not resized. Can see every little hair, pretty cool. It's a Rebel Digital in case you wondered.

You love your Pookie. Where would you be without your nightly Pookie beatings?

Yep, that's it. Took all of these pics with it www.ezacash.com/vegas

Of course they are all shrunk down around 100k for quick viewing. I was trying to use the light available for most, used the cameras flash a couple times (I don't like to use the cameras flash), and blinded the hell out of people with my off camera flash for just a few. Had it set to take the smallest file also. The pics of my dog were set on the highest.

You can set those cameras to rapid fire, which is pretty cutting edge for a digital camera.

I use a g4 mac, so I am always in the apple store and they display it. I always end up playing with it

You have to have a damn large card though, right?

Do you leave it at 6 pixels?

No, that was taken with my 28-80mm tamron. Probably about 55mm? It's the same picture, just a piece of it is cut out. I would like to get a macro, imagine the pics you could get, wow.

Aww Bree, just keep reading the manual until you memorize it. To take really good portraits or say a pic of your cat, set the dial to the picture of the head. Makes them in focus and the background out of focus, love that look.

I had it set on Large for that pic but it still only took around a 2 megapixel pic. Just depends on what is in the picture, more colors the higher it will be. I use 256mb cards. Fits about 60 large or 180 small, varies with what you are taking pics of. If I'm just goofing off I'll put it on small but if I want quality I move it to large.
