Anyone remember SCTV?

Second City?
I love that show... I wish they would put it on the American Comedy channel.

weird..just yesterday I was telling my UK friends about the show. We say Mighty Wind the other week and we were talking about Eugene Levy. Apparently he is going to be doing a play or something in London.

I love the old classics.

The Jesus skit was one of my favs.

Also the scary creature feature show.

I just got the "Kids in the Hall" first season and that is good also.

SCTV is one great show. Candy and Levy were great on that show.

I remember seeing it on the dish a year or so ago, but cant recall what channel it was on.

Strange Brew is a Canadian classic. Take off eh.

What the hell ever happened to Dave Thomas? (no, not the Wendy's dude)

He & Eugene Levy were my favorites on SCTV. I can only remember seeing him a couple of times after SCTV ended (not counting that godawful sitcom with Brett Butler)

I would be so very happy if they started showing kids in the hall in the UK...it was running for a couple months right after I moved over here and then it was gone. One of my all time top shows.

his imdb listing has him doing a lot of projects last year but a good deal of them are voices for animations - including brother bear.

SCTV is a classic...

I was just talking to someone about "Not necessarily the News" - The HBO series. I was trying to explain to them what a sniglet was.

I used to love that show when I was a kid. When I moved to the UK I found out that it was a US version of a hit UK show called 'Not the nine'oclock news' that featured so many of the British comedians that we would now consider successful - Rowan Atkinson for example. That show is brilliant, especially their songs. My faveorite is one that got them in some trouble - ' Cunning Linguist'

Also, the sniglet guy Rich Hall is over in the UK now being hugely successful with a new comedy character called Otis Lee Crenshaw - VERY funny stuff.

hehehe know what ya mean. went to see them a couple times when they were in town. funny on TV even better live. And at the end of the show, they always stayed behind in the lobby talking to the fans and signing autographs and stuff.

Miss the show.. but still good to watch when I get them on satellite

Haha.. I saw him do that on a Late night show here in the US.
It didn't go over too well with the crowd but I don't think they really got it. He's pretty out there... but in a good way.
