Who actually gives a FUCK???

How many of you paysite owners actually give a fuck about the quality of your websites content? The quality of your members experience while navigating thru your site? The quality of your customer service/support? Retention???

Is it more lucrative to have a couple of websites that are high quality "top-notch" sites or 50 sites that are just "so-so"?

Lately we`ve put more into the paysite members area experience, than the content for webmasters. But starting soon we`ll be giving webmasters more promo content than ever, while maintaing the paysite experience only as much as necessary to maintain the 60% retention.

just a couple websites, easier to manage and direct traffic too. focus on one task, spreading your resources thin is not a good game plan.

Rentention is key! Keeping a customer rather than having to hunt for another one to take their place should be more important than bulking up an affiliate program.

definitely the best way to go long term is a small number of high quality paysites that will remain popular for years, like any brand name product. they take alot of investment and work and talent, just because content is exclusive doesn't mean it's going to be good and make loyal customers.

but the quick big money doesn't fit that plan.

Its better to have 50 top notch websites with exclusive content and fresh ideas

But it takes one hell of a lot of work, without quality traffic the best website in the world is useless.

I would prefer to give quality... I can't imagine putting my time, work, and effort into something that wasn't everything I myself would want from any product, and I have very high standards.. Nice work, Dean! ;)

I've been looking at a lot of paysite backends lately and I have to say, 90% of them are worse then freesites listed on PK! (Not saying the freesites PK lists are bad, saying the pasites are HORRID). I wish there were more paysite owners that took the time and effort and expense to give a shit how they present their final product. It'd make the industry a whole lot better as a whole.

Unfortunately there are too many people putting up sites who understand, programming, design, traffic and don't have a clue about porn. So they are left to throw up as many sites as possible, throw as much traffic at it as possible and hope for the best.

But some of the richest guys I know have one or two great sites that retain members and a few feeder sites.

And with the 1% kicking in customer satisfaction is a must.

they used to teach us this in business school. It likely costs a third as much to keep an existing customer as to go out and find new prospects. I wonder what the cost difference would be for adult?
I have no idea, since I've seen so few programs that actually put as much emphasis on keeping members as they do on talking about keeping members.

I'm obsessed about that.....and that would be why Official Single model sites, esp run by the model herself, rebill longer

a Few high quality sites with tons of high quality content and updated often is better than a ton of sites with signups that quickly cancel. IMHO

Yea - you'd think this was true. With all the affiliate programs out there though - it's clearly not the norm.

I think a lot of it is because affiliates only care about how much they are being paid...they don't give a shit where they send their traffic as long as they're getting paid....so program owners cater to what affiliates want (higher payouts, more bells and whistles and everything given to them for free) rather than what customers want since no affiliates = no customers....except those of us who have our own inhouse traffic generation....
