I'm amazed that Slayer's Reign In Blood (one of the most influential, groundbreaking albums of all time) isn't listed there....

yes but it isn't best bands/artists it is best albums...the two don't always go hand in hand. There is a particular art to putting together a group of songs that work as an album. Rather than just putting three singles on an album and filling the rest with 'also rans'.

I agree with 1/3 of them but there are some big gaps. Too many Beatles Albums, Too much Dylan, No Indie, No Hip Hop and No Electronic Music. Damn, they only included one Jazz album which agreeably is the best Jazz album of all time, but damn, there's a hell of a lot more. This list was made for people who don't know shit about music and are closed-minded
Oh yeah, and Fuck Elvis! |

I definitely agree with Sgt Peppers being number one, but Dark Side of the Moon number 43? That should be in the top 10. And where the hell is Simon and Garfunkel Bookends?

No. 24, James Brown, Live at the Apollo. And here is the Godfather of Soul after his most recent performance.
