I wish Automatic For The People made the top 50 but that is my own biast. |
Also I am surprised the first Van Halen album didnt make it was ground breaking .
|
Hmmm... not convinced! There are better efforts than those.
|
I don't really care for much on that list.
|
I'm amazed that Slayer's Reign In Blood (one of the most influential, groundbreaking albums of all time) isn't listed there....

i only agreed with about half of the albums.
Nirvana definatly a good pick......Beatles too.....Elvis, of course! These are people that all changed music forever in their own way!!! :thumbsup |
yes but it isn't best bands/artists it is best albums...the two don't always go hand in hand. There is a particular art to putting together a group of songs that work as an album. Rather than just putting three singles on an album and filling the rest with 'also rans'.
|
No Billy Ray Cyrus in that list ... hmmm shame
... just kidding |
Some good choices there, but lots of crap too.
|
seems about right to me, id listen to almost all of them
|
not a very diverse listing. these two should be there (among others):
moby "play" beastie boys "hello nasty" |
Q Magazine in Britain had a poll a few years back and named Radiohead's OK Computer as #1
|
I agree with 1/3 of them but there are some big gaps. Too many Beatles Albums, Too much Dylan, No Indie, No Hip Hop and No Electronic Music. Damn, they only included one Jazz album which agreeably is the best Jazz album of all time, but damn, there's a hell of a lot more. This list was made for people who don't know shit about music and are closed-minded
Oh yeah, and Fuck Elvis! |

I definitely agree with Sgt Peppers being number one, but Dark Side of the Moon number 43? That should be in the top 10. And where the hell is Simon and Garfunkel Bookends?
|
No. 24, James Brown, Live at the Apollo. And here is the Godfather of Soul after his most recent performance.:1orglaugh
|
im not on there
fuck that |
I'm shocked to see that eric clapton or elton john aren't in it..or even santana!!
