Get some rubbing alcohol, tilt your head to the side, and pour about a capful into your ear. The alcohol will evaporate the water.

personally, I absolutely love creamy loads in my ear

but my ears used to never drain when I was young, the doctor told me to stand on one foot and tilt you head and hop up and down, really it gets the water out

NEVER EVER pour rubbing alcohol in your ear. It has a drying effect that causes your ear canal to become susceptible to to harmful bacteria. You use acetic acid better known as white vinegar. You can even heat it to make it comfortable. I know this because I have a pool and am prone to swimmer's ear ( unimaginable pain) so I have a very good Ear, Nose & Throat specialist. He preaches against alcohol in the ear from the mountaintops. He gets pissed that people have been told to do this. All it does is pucker your delicate ear tissue making your ears way more vulnerable to bacteria.

Acetic acid restores the ph in your ear after water has gotten in it.

It's just that regular Isopropyl alcohol that most people keep around. Not sure about Rum.

Pouring some alcohol in your ear to evaporate a little water out will not hurt you. If you're swimming and doing it on a daily basis, then that probably wouldn't be best since all alcohol has a drying effect. For occasionally getting water trapped from shower, bath, etc., it's fine. My background is in "ears and mouths" and I've worked with them for several years. I've put alcohol and peroxide in many ears with ENTs watching.

I had the same problem in the summer, I went to the doctor and he flushed my ears out with warm water. Worked like a charm!

If you go to any walk in center they should be able to do the same thing.

If this persists go to the health food store and get the ear wick thingies....I know it sounds crazy but its real you put them in your ear, light the end and the fire actually draws the moisture and the gook into the wick....with a gentle vacuum action.

I had a persistant ear infection that 5 ear doc visits didnt cure...the ear wick cured it.
