The sad thing is that the owner can't afford to paint over the primer, nor can he afford any engine mods at all

(not that you'd want any on that car).

Actually, 240sx's make wicked budget track cars, and are heavily modified and raced in Japan. The japanese motor came with a turbo from the factory, and can hold a decent amount of power, so a lot of people import those and swap them in. The car has 50/50 weight distribution, is RWD, and handles great.

But yeah, that particular car sounds like a pile of shit

Interesting; I didn't know that. I had a 200SX about 10 years ago, and that thing sucked ass. I guess they improved the rear-wheel weight ratio since then, since the 200SX had shit for rear-wheel traction. I assumed that the 240 was similar.

The car I was referring to has no turbo, no power-adders that I could see from looking from under the car (OK, I was curious when I saw the hood pins, which are a racing necessity). All show and no go... heh.
