When I buy a sweater that costs hundreds of dollars, I'm not pretending to be doing something good. I'm doing something for me. Very clear, consistent reasoning. Egoism is a beautiful thing when not disguised as charity.

This particular charity is a bit like buying a round of beers for your friends. Nothing wrong with it, but hardly a "good cause".
