Hmm that is weird. I would say someone probably hacked into a customer database, but that wouldn't have your ss#

Identity theft is a major problem, I'd be worried if he has your SS#, he can likely get a new CC in your name.

call your credit bureau and flag it. so if anyone tries to make ANY applications for credit, you will be contacted and advised first.

i work for visa. i have people calling me all the time taking me for a fool when I know they're trying to pull a scam.

I suggest waiting until he's fully ruined your credit rating and then stealing some else's identity for yourself.

Seriously, I'd talk to a lawyer and at very least inform your bank of this guy. Some serious Russian identity thief is not someone I'd take lightly.

anywhere in particular place I can look for a number? The CC in question is just a debit card, I don't have a real CC.

www.equifax.com

i believe is a credit bureau in the U.S.

doesn't matter if it was just a debit card. he might be making applications under your name for all types of shit without you even knowing. before you know it you have an R9 credit rating.
