Yah I know - just was curious...

I figured, a guy your age, with that many posts, musta been registered for a while... but nah, you just post too much

Whats scary is that there are many webmasters younger then you... and nah, the domain in your profile, I didnt look hard for it, I wanted to see when you registered, saw your domain, did a whois for fun, and noticed when it was registered... thats all.

Kanji is tough, I'd love to spend more time learning it, but I am focusing on conversational japanese so that I can actually communicate next time I visit Japan... altho I am a slow learner

I'm just a student at this... but I'm reading those kanji as

ka(tsu) - To defeat or overcome

ri - interest, or financial gain

Seems to me like putting them together means you're "overcoming interest". Did you pay off a big loan or something in 1985?

Yes, Its "kari" in kanji because there is no "L" in the language. It just happens to have that meaning. And the bottom is my birthday bud

Yeah, I figured on the date... just making sure you know that a chinese / japanese peep reading that would think "Is he old enough to have had a mortgage in 1985?"

I dunno if I'd tattoo my birthday on me anywhere. I plan on being born later and later as I get older and older.

Make sure you have someone proof read the translation. I read an article recently about an asian tattoo artist who got fed up with whities wanting his language tattooed on their bodies that when asked to tattoo something like "love" he'd tattoo "slut" on the person. Someone filed a lawsuit against him and it turns out his did this more than just a few times.

i think that was a joke article. like from the onion or something.

i have a chinese tattoo on my back - it was on my friend seans leg, but he is no longer with us. a bunch of us got tats in rememberence.

I tattooed for 4 years.. most girls who get shit there (words, names, long straight things)end up regretting it later, your breasts can change drasticly depending on having kids.. age.. shit like that...
