Kanji is tough, I'd love to spend more time learning it, but I am focusing on conversational japanese so that I can actually communicate next time I visit Japan... altho I am a slow learner :(

Yes, Its "kari" in kanji because there is no "L" in the language. It just happens to have that meaning. And the bottom is my birthday bud :winkwink:

Make sure you have someone proof read the translation. I read an article recently about an asian tattoo artist who got fed up with whities wanting his language tattooed on their bodies that when asked to tattoo something like "love" he'd tattoo "slut" on the person. Someone filed a lawsuit against him and it turns out his did this more than just a few times.

i have a chinese tattoo on my back - it was on my friend seans leg, but he is no longer with us. a bunch of us got tats in rememberence.
