I borrowed it off a friend and read it a few weeks ago. When he gave it to me he said something like "Half the stuff in here, you'll read and be pissed you didnt know it already". I'd say it was worth the read.

I got it as a gift, it's a great read if nothing else.

I've read a couple others in the series, it's mostly just good sense. A lot of it you should know already, but it's nice to have someone else put it in words.

I liked it, it gave me the kick up the ass I needed to start reading up on investing... it's more about the mindset and general strategies you can use to become financially free, rather than a specific how-to.

SmartMoney magazine did a 60 Minutes tv show type of expose on that guy last year. turns out he's not worth anything near what he said he is and that most of the investments he touts in that book that he has don't exist or are worth much less than what he says.

the general ideas are fine and dandy, and if they get you saving for retirement all the better, but that guy made all of his $$ from seminars and sellilng that book, not from the investments he described in there.

over-hyped book, no real meat to it.

I've seen way better.

If you're looking for abstract but empowering advise... Rich Dad Poor Dad is a great book.

If you are looking for a gameplan and specific steps to riches.... skip it!

Yep... I read it, got all excited and motivated as any "motivational book" would do, then got more and more pissed as I realized that the "introductory motivational bullshit section" wasn't going to transition into specifics at all... the whole book is like that.

be sure to read this guys take on the author:
http://www.johntreed.com/Kiyosaki.html

he really tears Kiyosaki up.

Really!? I'll have to check it out. I saw his books at the bookstore and got the same 'bullshit' sense i got from kiyosaki... I'll give it another chance.
