My nana buys that all the time. I had a real PA Dutch upbringing as far as food goes. On the way home from Vegas we stopped in Philly for a couple days and went to Reading Terminal Market. I seriously had a 'Dutchie Overload' moment when I went past one of the stalls. When you haven't had regular access to any of that stuff in almost 10 years and suddenly you are looking at a display case with - lebonon bologna, red beet eggs, pepper cabbage, shoo fly pie, whoppie pies, red velvet cake, proper sticky buns - and all the rest it is actually too much to take in. I settled for a whoopie pie

i didnt eat another one of those pretzels for like....two weeks.

on the subject of regional foods...anybody out there from jersey too who is obsessed with pork roll i.e. Taylor Ham??
My grandfather used to cook up Taylor Pork Roll for us. That was some great shit. He lived in Atlantic City.

PA surely does. I have never seen black raspberry icecream anywhere else either...and I've been all over.

Not only that. ....but,

Frank's Black Cherry Wishniak soda.

And, then there was a chocolate store in Ventnor. I wish I could spell it but phonetically it sounds like

Jagielki or something like that. I have never had anything like it since.
