:stop ~~~ SearchEngines...

Currently SE's don't like anything other than standard hardlinks. But I read somewhere that they might do some modifying of their spiders so they'll 'see' other type of links as well, such as cgi's etc.
Anyone that has any info regarding this?

Thanks, Kamilla

SE's like scripts nowadays, point enough high PR links to a parameterized url and it will still index it.

Example: http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&l...22.cgi%3F%2 2

Well, I have a ton of sites linking to me via their cgi/php scripts and according to alexa they are not being counted for... thus a lower score.
I do most my link trades via scripts and are missing out it seems... so when I read (long time ago) that they were updating their spiders to also include script links I was pretty exited.

Kamilla36D , you might be looking for mod_rewrite with Apache.

I noticed a lot of script based pages are being indexed without problem but they need to have someone linking to those pages from a high PR based page. As ludvig said, you might want to consider an apache module to make your script based pages look more static. mod_rewrite is a good one.

Thanks for the feedback - what exactly would I need to put into my pages? mod_rewrite is pretty much greek to me... And will it help the SE's to 'see' the 1000's of cgi/php links pointing to my various sites?

Thanks again, Kamilla
